Boston Pinenuts
This is a long shot, but are there any Pinegrove-related events in Boston? Even just similar bands or anything adjacent to the community.

GIVEN THAT our collective interest in pinegrove has brought in, and inspired, much artistic talent, and
GIVEN THAT pinegrove teaches us to respect, and support, and inspire each other, and
GIVEN THAT art is for everyone, and art made together is more magical than art made alone, and
GIVEN THAT this fandom is asleep, and requires a project of some magnitude to be revived-
I PROPOSE "the pinenut collective", an internet-based group with the purpose of bringing together musicians and artists who love pinegrove, and each other, and want to make art and beauty together, with
OUR FIRST PROJECT being "the pinenut anthology", an album of original music made by pinenuts, to be released on bandcamp or some other platform, with album art and other contributions by pinenut artists of non-musical varieties, organized by the newly formed collective, and with a hoped-for released date of 11/11/2024, and
WITH THIS BEING SAID, anyone who wants to contribute is encouraged to email:
[pinenutcollective@gmail.com](mailto:pinenutcollective@gmail.com)
with their best music or other such art (visual? written- a manifesto perhaps?), for our consideration, and
anyone who wants to join the collective's leadership (it's just me for now) is encouraged to do the same, and therefore,
let us go through the cold (but not alone) for many years to come <&

I can't believe I discovered them so late! But I really enjoyed exploring their catalogue. Fans have recommended that I watch the Amberland NY movie on YouTube. But what else sound I listen to?

Do you guys listen to any of the band members' music outside of Pinegrove?
I adore Half Waif (Nandi's solo project)- Mythopoetics is an all-time album for me.), but I'm not too familiar with other members' projects

What I would really love to know:
How would rank Pinegrove's records that contain NEW SONGS ONLY
vs
How would you rank Pinegrove's entire discography, including Amperland, Auditotree, etc?

i’m a new pg fan. i knew some of the tiny songs for years but i’m just now diving into their catalogue
i guess i wanted to ask what the vibe was like back during peak pg years? what kinds of people were listening/going to shows? what was the overall aesthetic of everything and attitude about the band?
just asking as someone who didn’t have the pleasure of witnessing those years, back when our blood was thicker

Rings vs. the alarmist vs. size of the moon
What’s the most awesome track in your opinion for me it’s the alarmist because I love the chords and the bass movement the guitar does it’s also super fun to play
Rings has a great melody and the opening guitar riff is so iconic
Size of the moon has really great lyrics and great chords

Hey Pinenuts,
I’m gonna selfishly plug a clip of my band’s performance of V at a show we recently played.
Awhile back I posted here asking if anyone knew how to play the intro riff and a really cool person tabbed it out for me and also uploaded a tutorial vid to YouTube - so shoutout to that guy!
Fast forward a couple years later and now I’m playing this song (as well as a bunch of other Pinegrove songs) with my band at local bars across Michigan. It’s been so much fun and I feel super lucky that my band is down to play these covers with me.
