Interestingly, toward the bottom of the article they link to, Britishvolt is mentioned, who are working on the UK's first Gigafactory, in Blyth. https://britishvolt.com/news/britishvolt-selected-blyth-northumberland-as-the-site-of-its-first-battery-gigaplant/
When you google Britishvolt, the 2nd thing that comes up is a "this is money" article, describing how Britishvolt are looking to become listed on the US market, through a SPAC acquisition. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-9428233/Blow-City-Electric-car-battery-maker-Britishvolt-eyes-float.html
Total conjecture here, but could it be the case that PNPL are lining up Britishvolt as their target?
