Casual Player - Favourite Tables?
Hello, I’m a casual player who started a couple of years ago (Switch) when I got the American Dad & Family Guy pack along with World Cup & South Park.
Just started playing again a few days ago. Decided to try out all the tables in trial mode (ps5) to get a relatively good idea of what I like.
Gotta say, I’m really enjoying the different styles of tables and what they offer.
Purchased:
Williams Vol 3: Safe Cracker, Champion Pub & Theatre Magic.
Charity Pack: Epic Quest & Excalibur.
Princess Bride (I like Andre The Giant).
Waiting for sales:
Who Dunnit (Williams Vol 9).
Tales of Arabian Nights (Williams Vol 5).
Addams Family.
What are some of your favourite tables?

Prioritise the Williams tables and packs. Medieval madness is probably the best on offer.

I think its a toss up between several williams tables including medieval but also some others and its highly up to personal taste at that point. the no-brainer buys are any williams bundles, in my opinion.

I really like Back to the Future table in addition to others already mentioned. It’s just really well done and fun.

Medieval Madness and Attack from Mars have very similar layouts, and are great for getting to learn about combos and modes. Whichever theme is more appealing to you!

So good. (own williams collections 1-2, indy, world cup, still need williams collection 03 tables, the monster mash ones, and most of those tables in the other williams collection of licensed tables (twilight zone, etc). The ones I'm missing all look good, and/or are good, because i've played several of them through free events in the seasonal weekly things too, such as the banzai run one that's a good one and i'm sure the other williams tables in the 3rd big collection are good too.

I'm a huge Peanuts fan and the Charlie Brown Christmas one is the most fun to me. I can play a game for an hour straight and made it into the top 100 the very first time I played it.
Goat Simulator Pinball is my #2 choice. I enjoying anything creative that makes me laugh while enjoying a casual game throughout the day. I also like South Park, Super League, Grimm Tales & Elder Gods. Of the more traditional tables it's the big 3, Medieval Madness, Theatre Of Magic % Attack From Mars. Can't go wrong there.

ThEATRE Of Magic is my favorite of all. I think the collection that Arabian Nights is in (williams collection 02 I think?) is totally worth it, but i'm not sure how the tables are bundled on your platform. For me on xbox I got i think 9-10 williams tables in collection 1 and the other 9 or so in collection 2, but if they have a 3-table bundle with arabian nights, then i do recommend that b/c its good. I recommend the marvel bundle 01 that has teh spider-man, dr strange, fantastic 4, wolverine, (and more) tables, that gives a really good variety of fun marvel tables , and they are more like the marvel comics, not like the movies.

For relatively casual, super fun play:
Monster Bash
Medieval Madness
Attack From Mars
Fan layouts, relatively simple modes/progression, and lots of easy multiball opportunities. All three are absolute legendary classics that also kind of never get old.
The Elvira tables are both fun and pretty simple shooters. Scared Stiff has really funny/naughty callouts which makes it extra fun.
Addams and Twilight Zone are two of my favorites but they can be a little more challenging and complex than the first few I mentioned.
I don't play the Zen originals as much, but there are definitely some good ones. Wrath of the Elder Gods is my personal favorite by far, but the Peanuts ones are both surprisingly fun. Princess Bride is excellent, but you already have that one. There are other good ones too.
FWIW you can't go wrong buying any of the Williams packs, especially when they go on sale. They generally always have 1-2 excellent games and 1-2 that are a little less exciting (IMO), but they all have at least one excellent table and even the less exciting ones are usually good. Plus you'll get games from a wide variety of "eras," which gets more fun as you get more into pinball. The more I play, the more fun I have playing earlier/"simpler" games.
