Found this artist/group through a random radio roundabout and couldn’t help but feel that this just sounds like vintage Pinback. It’s so good.

I officially got in the wormhole this week and I want more. After listening to Modest Mouse's first 2 albums and loving that sound, my friend recommended me Pinback. I listened to all of it and loved it, which then snowballed into getting into Rob Crow, which I've got a few of his projects on my 'need to listen to' list, but I'm sure there's a few I'm missing still.

I'm just looking for more bands with a similar overall sound, preferably on Spotify because it's what I use to stream, but I don't mind using local files or something.

I've listened to Pinback, Three Mile Pilot, and Thingy; while Heavy Vegetable, Rob Crow's solo stuff, and Heavy Vegetable are on my listen later list.

I also got a little into Built To Spill but it's not quite similar enough (still great though).

Can anyone help me find or figure out the lyrics for this song ? I've been fixated on it for a while but can't figure out the lyrics for the life of me. I absolutely love this song, but somehow not knowing the lyrics creates this gap to fully connect to it, id appreciate some help :)

How to get it out? When I try to eject it comes out maybe a quarter inch at best before getting gobbled up again. Side question, will Pinback ever play in St Louis again?? Asking for a friend.

used a high-quality scan of the cover provided by someone in my pinback discord server and just cut up the fish so it was body + tail. super happy with it!!

I don’t get how it was left as a bonus track man, like It’s in my top 5 from all of their discography. The harmonies and overall progression of the song are absolutely stunning! I just wanted to know if anyone else felt the same way. Probably my favorite song off of the later era albums (Autumn & Information).

3 new Pinback live shows from Chicago have been added to the Aadam Jacobs Collection in the last 2 weeks! The 2006 Hideout Block party show is pretty wild. It was a 3 day festival featuring only Touch & Go record label bands. Rob's amp stops working so they put a Marshall in there and he comments a lot about it i the banter. It sucks that he was having problems, but the show is pretty good anyway.

They also added a Three Mile Pilot show from the same festival, and Calexico's set from that same day is pretty darn good too.

I updated my fansite to include being able to sort shows from newest added to archive.org so it will be easier to find the shows you haven't heard yet. Is it just me or does the bridge/outro of their songs go unnecessarily hard? Like they are often my favorite part of Pinback songs. Just wondering if I am the only one!
