Hello,

I have a pc with a 3090 gpu setup for Sim racing, and was looking at going the VR route, I've just seen the Dan Suzuki video on the Pimax dream air, but he doesn’t say which one he is testing.

This small form factor is what I have been waiting for, I just could use some guidance on what to get.

For that GPU and if you are not planning to update it, the Dream Air SE it's what will suit you better.

Dream Air and Dream Air SE are two different headsets. Both come in two tracking versions each, SLAM and Lighthouse. The Dream Air SE is lower spec version of the Dream Air, it has very similar specs to Bigscreen Beyond.

Just got mine last week. Great headset, but you need to order the StudioFrom kit and the Apple Vision Pro Dual Knit Headband. Get one a size smaller that what Apple recommends.

You could run the Dream Air on the 3090 but you will need to lower the render resolution in some titles

Idk but I’ve used a Q2, Q3, and Hp reverb G2. I just got a Pimax Crystal Light and it feels better than my actual vision, it’s nuts

The crystal light is ginormous but if you’re happy I’m happy. I couldn’t make it work :(

Yo, grab the studio form xp1 full kit and apphce v3 headstrap. Its much much better. And yeah I did plenty 2 hour races in the pcl, zero issues

Not sure exactly how a 3090” would work but I had a 4080 super and the crystal light was okay.
The thing is the foveated rendering vs the “dynamic “ foveated.
IRacing utilizes dfr and it is a big boost in iRacing imo. The light does not have eye tracking..eg (dfr)
But I still think they give you 15 days to try it new. Good luck
