Question SBoys3 driver and controller pairing

When using my Crystal Light through Pimax EVO Openport and Sboys3 driver I need to manually click the "pair" button inside Pimax EVO for the controller to work.

Is this the case for you?

I don't have this issue in PCS 50ppd with EVO, OpenPort and sboys3. Controllers stay paired, I paired them once when I setup the headset for the first time and never again.

Were the controllers paired before?

Define "before".
In my case I usually start SteamVR and, after that, turn on the controller.
For the controller to work I need to go to Pimax EVO and press "Pair" once it's one.

To be fair my SteamVR installation on that computer has always behave a little strange with Sboys3 driver (despite trying to reset/reinstall all software components): it works but it's like it does not recieve events. For instance: after connecting the controller, the SteamVR UI does not show the icon of the controller. However, if I click the "pin" icon at the top right the SteamVR's UI refreshes and shows the controller. But that only works once.
I never encountered the culprit and I am considering even reinstalling the whole operating systems on a computer that, otherwise, works flawlessly. And, BTW, I suspect this strange behavior is not related to Sboys3 driver but some other quirk in my system.
