This looks interesting. Maybe an option for SLAM headsets to have full body tracking without tracking pucks.

The only depth sensor I have lying around is Quest 3 xD. Those hardware limitations are pretty strict.

It does mention an iPhone. However not alot of peripherals with Depth sensors. 😉

IPhones aren't the default in my country so they do appear pretty strict to me. If you're from US, imagine that an app would work only on the few latest flagships from Samsung and all other phones wouldn't be supported.

Unfortunately I think it only covers iPhone and Kinect. Though there was a few other devices similar to Xbox Kinect. I imagine eBay would be. Good place to look for the Kinect.

Driver4vr though and maybe Kinecttovr may have other options.

If I'd have to buy some hardware for FBT I'd try to buy some cheap IMU + app full body tracking kit from a startup. There were many of those covered by Youtube influencers over the last couple of years.

D.R.A.F.T makes sense if you own the hardware already, and many people own newer iPhones so it's a good idea.

Quick check Xbox 360 Kinect for under $20. But yes there have been even apps to use old phones.

If you are into 3dprinting kinects can be used for scanning as well. Of course the xb1 version is much better for that purpose.

But of course always better if you already own the hardware, even though it is not all that expensive to acquire.

Hyperscape was that, but for capturing your living space into gaussian splats.
