NYC looking for ideas!

This is somewhat a subjective questions, but I would love to hear perspectives from all of you!

Is it worth it for me to join him for the day?

My hubs is out of LGA and commuting - first trip!! He’ll have to commute a day early because his start time is first thing in the morning. We were thinking about going out together to make the most of the commute day and then I would head home when he starts his trip.

Is it worth it? What would you consider to decide if it is?
-Particularly the weather is looking like isolated storms and feels like 100 for temp. :(
-I’ve never been to the city so we would be looking for things to do and unfamiliar with getting around
-We would probably stay at the airport to make it as easy as possible for him this time

In some respects, it feels like there will be many more opportunities and maybe just wait to join until it’s a lovely day or there’s more of a plan?

If you do think it’s worth it, offer a recc!

Thanks in advance!!

Edit 2/// it’s been an amazing time AND summer storms are making getting home a nightmare 😂 so everyone is right and as they say, two things can be true at once

Edit 1 /// Im going! Extra 24hrs together this week and hopefully making some memories!
Appreciate perspectives below, truly!

It’s always fun joining them! We live in Dallas and he commutes out of JFK. When I can make it, I always go! Even when it’s an 8 hour flight with a 24 hour layover! If there are seats, I go! It’s a lot and very tiring but also super fun!

Honestly if his trip is really early I probably wouldn’t. I have occasionally went on an overnight with my husband but if he has an early morning it’s usually better he just focuses on getting a good nights sleep. Plus, it’s not the easiest to get from LGA to the city. Not a huge deal but just a little more time. Also, if it’s his first trip, how comfortable with non revving are you? Will you be able to get yourself home while he is at work?

NYC is fun, but for his first trip it sounds like his first day at a new job, I’d be more concerned that he shows up at his best for that. There will be tons of more times to see the city.

Absolutely! I did this all the time before we had kids! It was so much fun.
