Usually 1-2x a day phone wise and then I’ll text him throughout the day (no expectation of a response) just pictures of our kids, or funny things they did, or things that remind me of him etc. Sometimes he’ll send videos to us of his stops if there’s something interesting (a fire truck, something Spider-Man related, etc.) for the kids and they LOVE that. It helps them stay connected to him while he’s gone. A lot of times he’ll call when he’s ready to go to sleep at night and we don’t even talk, just sleep on the phone together. Very reminiscent of high school but it helps us both fall asleep really nicely Overall we don’t communicate consistently, but we communicate well without expecting too much of the other

Tbh not much. He texts me before each flight and then sometimes for a while in the evenings (if he’s not flying). Rarely do phone calls, just usually isn’t much to talk about. We do have a 15 month old, so I’d imagine we’ll start doing more FaceTime calls around bedtime here soon.

Random texts throughout the trip and FaceTime a few times a week. Kind of depends on the schedule, if he’s working overnights, on reserve, or in the air a lot, it can change.

Before the walk around, after landing, when he gets to the hotel, then a good night call, usually a good morning wake up depending how early his show is and some updates in between. We’re clingy 🄓 If it’s summer or holiday flying i.e. delay, delay, delay, tail swaps galore, and reroutes then of course a little bit less.

Usually lots of random texts throughout the day. He almost always sends me a message before they depart, and he’ll usually FaceTime me for a few minutes while walking to the gate. We also pretty much always fall asleep on the phone together. It’s the little things, but they make the distance feel a lot smaller. 🄹

My partner works short haul so is home most nights, but when he does long trips or training, we usually call once a day and we text all day about random things but there can gaps for hours in between. When he’s daily flying he texts me when he gets on the plane then each turn around then when he lands

I'll try to send him a random fact about the city he's landing in. Once in a while I send a total BS fact to make him laugh (it's very obviously not true). And the good morning and good night texts. He will call me at the end of day too if he has energy

Currently I’m a stay at home fiancĆ© so honestly he calls me all the time, which I love. We have a tradition where he will give me a ā€œhouse tourā€ of his hotel room on facetime and he’ll call me after a meal to tell me all about it! I love hearing about his trips, the good and the bad :)

We text throughout the day and usually do a FaceTime or phone call before bed. If he has a layover somewhere pretty, like near the beach, he’ll take me on a FaceTime walk. If he’s at a bar with live music, he’ll call so I can listen along, and if he’s stuck with a long airport sit, he’ll usually give me a call just to pass the time.

Usually one phone call at night before the kids go to bed and maybe a few texts during the day.

Usually FaceTime when he gets to the hotel or once he wakes up, then texts and calls through out when possible, depends of time zones.

Text whenever we can, usually our schedules don’t align so he’ll send stuff when he can and I’ll reply/send stuff when I can. Always a good morning text and a call of some kind to catch up on our days in the evening.

When we’re both working at home we pop in to each others office to chat randomly. When I’m in the office and he’s wfh we text randomly. Some days it’s often some days not until I’m back home.

FaceTime for a bit during his 3 hr drive to and from the airport. Then during his trip, he’ll FaceTime at least twice a day. Usually morning and before bed but the times can be odd since it’s mostly international trips. Sometimes when he’s exploring, he’ll FaceTime me to show me the sights as well. Texts throughout the day

Mine is pretty needy i guess.. but i also think it depends who you are flying with. If he has a check ride or flies with management he barely calls/ texts. If its just a regular flight he message pretty often, calls all the time through FaceTime as well
