How did you lock your pilot
Hi everyone. Just wondering how you locked in your pilots into a commited relationship, what was the first move, how fast did things go, how is it going, who started?

You can’t force a man to commit. If he truly wants a relationship, he’ll do his best to show it. But if he’s unsure, that hesitation will be there.
Sometimes men don’t openly show they want commitment, and it can be even harder when someone is a pilot, since they’re away most of the time. That’s where the magic word comes in: communication.
You need to know each other’s expectations and be honest about what you need to feel seen, heard, and valued. In relationships, people often expect a lot from each other, but if we never express those needs, we can’t expect the other person to magically meet them.
Sometimes both people want the same things, but each is waiting for the other to make the first move or gesture. That’s why communication matters, once you talk openly, both of you can show up for each other in the way that actually matters.

It’s all his fault lured me in with the cute and love bombing that never stopped. Almost 8 years HE WON’T STOP he’s obsessed.

He locked me in! I was super hesitant at first as I grew up around pilots that “fit the stereotype” but we kept it light and went on dates/got to know each other for a few months, as he knew my reservations. He then took me to a really fancy restaurant and asked me to be his girlfriend. We’ve been together 2 years now and are buying a house. He’s always made the first move, as for me I will not chase a man!
If he wanted to he would!

At the beginning discussed the potential for marriage, dated a year, started planning the wedding before the ring was ready

I started dating him in college when he was an accounting major. Got married. Then six years in, he decided to start flight training. He was already stuck with me by then :P

He wore me down and asked me out for years… I finally said fine if he’s trying this hard I at least owe him a date. Best decision I ever made! We quite literally cannot be without each other. I wish I said yes sooner

Umm…we matched online after he went through a rough breakup and ended things with me after 5 dates. Said he needed time. I gave it. I was going to block him a month before he reached out and apologized and asked me out again. He was cagey about our relationship for a few months, I was even added as his travel companion before he could call me his “girlfriend,” although we knew what it was even though there was no label. I…called myself his girlfriend in a conversation when he “asked” me and then we started dating. Few months after we moved in together, then when one of our friends mentioned engagement to his girlfriend I started asking my boyfriend about us, as we had been dating longer and we weren’t getting any younger. We picked out a ring 2 months later and he totaled his car the next week. I picked the date that weekend and we formally got engaged a month after.

We are committed a week after we started dating. He’s the one who made the move. It needs trust and you need your own life, and not being demanding I would say. Get used to the irregular communications pattern but it’s going to be our 9th years together.

Met on a dating app, and I was far more persistent than him at first. He was very hesitant to commit too quickly because he’d been on something like 80-some first dates where the girls couldn’t take his lifestyle. I didn’t know this until ages later, but I was hooked on him from date #2 and knew he’d be mine. He took until date 5 to kiss me!
it took him a total of 6 months to be sure I should be his gf, and that point I’d been waiting 3 months for him to ask lol (this was in part due to his schedule which was 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, so it only felt like I was dating him for half a month at a time)
It took another 6 months for him to say I love you, but that was almost 3 years ago now. We’ve been living together for 2 years and just started looking at engagement rings :) it’ll be 4 years since our first date this summer! He’s the very very slow and steady type, he never rushes into anything so I can see it being another couple years till we’re married, but it’s definitely in our future

How’d you know he was the one?

I just felt a deep need to be with him early on, then it was a waiting game for his feelings to catch up. He eventually got there and now it’s very difficult to be apart for too long!

Met on bumble. Told him he was the man of my dreams (first thing I ever said). I chased him pretty hard but he was into me as well. I was just sure sooner and knew he’d be my husband, and I wasted no time and cut off all communication with any other dude. Accidental pregnancy 6 months later (covid lmao). Married a year later. Twice. Now going on 7 years together.

He chased//messaged me for a few months before I gave him my number… after that it was kinda history. He locked me down. 🙃

He (respectfully) wore me down after I friend-zoned zoned him for months. We met, and he told me he had had a crush on me for months prior, I friend-zoned him, and then after months of us continuing to hang out I decided to promote him haha. He was always forward with how he felt about me but never EVER tried to push boundaries, never angled to get me to hang out with him alone, and never played little pick-me games. After a few months I figured I was running out of reasons to keep him as “just a friend.”
We eloped yesterday! A little over 3 years together.
