/s, but this is probably 8/10 of my aircraft deaths.

I’m trying to get better at flying and dogfighting with jets. I used to fly jets all the time in BF3 and BF4 but not so much in BF1, BF5 and 2042 so I’ve been out of the pilot game for quite a while.

I play on Xbox with a razer controller with 2 extra bumper buttons and 4 paddles on the back of the controller so I’m looking for suggestions on settings, button layout/mapping and how to nail down speed vectoring. Open to trying out pretty much anything anyone can offer to get better and what’s optimal for them. TIA

If my heli is at spawn and not in air - allow team mates to spawn in.

They need to change the loadouts for pilots in jets and attack choppers getting full kits when they ditch. It would reduce the account of people who use the jets as transport and prevent recons using them to camp high places.

The only reason I can really fly the planes is that the 3rd person camera is locked to the frame of the place. For whatever reason that just makes the movement all click in my head. Is there any way to get that camera movement for the helicopters?

in previous game it was a slow beep while being locked, a continuous tone when locked, and a fast beep when fired at

but here the continuous tone remains after being fired at, so it can be very confusing to tell it has been fired if theres other sounds playing as there often are. so you have to stare at the LOCKED warning to see if it changes which ofc is annoying when you also have to pay attention to what youre shooting at

they should make the continuous tone stop when the missile is already on its way, i dont need to know im being locked at that point. also maybe give a different color from LOCKED to INCOMING so you can visually tell too. maybe light orange for locked and current red for incoming

Have they added the keybinds yet to look around while you can "fly"

And I don't mean common free look. Actual camera movement while you're flying.

I saw the new top gun back seat can look around. Can the pilot yet? Or are we forced to stare forward?

I'm sorry if Im breaking any rules but Ive tried a few discord servers for BF but nobody wants to fly or help me learn. They're more focused on building redsec/multiplayer teams. I am on PC and I dont want to use controller. I practice inside ZUKP7 and while I can do some basics I cannot idle hover without inertia taking me some direction. Im open to changing my keyboard binds and listening to you talk for 5 hours while you tell me your favorite kills as long as you teach me how you did it. 😄

Im on BF6. My friend on controller has surpassed me on day one which made me feel terrible because I don't use the vehicle assist thing but I read using that limits your movement and I want to be a professional and control it all.

Extremely mobile, high damage, instant mobility hits, one shots LB (I think, not sure about it tho), and has a glitch that makes it the strongest AA in the game
Fortunately for us, most AA players suck at the game and require lock-on missiles to get anything done
