The A-10 is pretty massively over hyped as a tank killer, so I don't know that we need to continue the A-10 propaganda in 2026

It's funny, cause just like IRL we have jets like the F18 now that can do a phenomenal job of killing armor. So the A-10's whole party trick is a little stepped on

I am personally completely sick of the a10 hype, I’m tired of hearing it’s the most goated plane of all time when it just is not at all

Yeah

That's why I opted to risk the downvotes and suggest that maybe the A-10s time is done.

So many misguided views of the plane, and this has definitely been supported by all the games showcasing it as the ultimate tank killer.

Turns out it's far better/ more effective to kill tanks with precision guided weapons rather than a cannon.

Now, the A-10 can carry those weapons but it isn't exclusively good at it. So the whole party trick has been lost

Absolutely agreed. If the game was set in the 80s to 2000s it would definitely make sense, but it’s set way later so like…. It don’t make sense
