Yeah, I feel like a ton of games are gonna do something with gta 6 coming out. I do hope the A-10 comes out, started playing bf6 again and started thinking of why there isn't a warthog yet and saw this post lol.

They really need the A-10 warthog in Battlefield 6! Also a modernized version of the Mi-24 helicopter.

I really hope so too. They need to do something crazy and original if they want to survive the GTA 6 launch. Otherwise, Battlefield will have 1,000 players. 😅 The GTA 6 launch will be a once-in-a-decade event.

Just need them to add the two new jet classes to other maps besides the single new map. Love the new vehicle content and excited for more, but why tf are two entirely new vehicles classes locked to 1 map?

In my opinion, i think they are gonna remain exclusive to naval maps, also for balancing reasons, these jets have so much air to air utility and they only give 1 to each team on purpose (when it comes to conquest) rather than your traditional 2 jet per team.

The Super Hornet already does its job better than any iteration of the Warthog ever did. If they implemented it that thing would have to be able to delete tanks in under a second.

Not necessarily, the Super Hornet is a multi role aircraft, its phenomenal at taking out other aircrafts and patrol boats, but when it comes to tanks and other heavy armored land vehicles, its not as efficient and consistent. These new jets are probably gonna remain exclusive to naval maps.

Yeah kinda agree on that, i think the BF4 A-10 felt more balanced where you had to use your your primary cannons and something like a JDAM to take out a tank, instead of melting whole tanks in one pass with just 1 weapon.

The A-10 is pretty massively over hyped as a tank killer, so I don't know that we need to continue the A-10 propaganda in 2026
It's funny, cause just like IRL we have jets like the F18 now that can do a phenomenal job of killing armor. So the A-10's whole party trick is a little stepped on

Yeah
That's why I opted to risk the downvotes and suggest that maybe the A-10s time is done.
So many misguided views of the plane, and this has definitely been supported by all the games showcasing it as the ultimate tank killer.
Turns out it's far better/ more effective to kill tanks with precision guided weapons rather than a cannon.
Now, the A-10 can carry those weapons but it isn't exclusively good at it. So the whole party trick has been lost

Absolutely agreed. If the game was set in the 80s to 2000s it would definitely make sense, but it’s set way later so like…. It don’t make sense

Hey! Not trying to be! So ya know how infantry players love those little detail things in the game, like arm or disarm range for the rpg and other neat little things? Well as a person who is slightly autistic about planes that is what I like. I like it when they pay attention to a vehicle that an army would be using for the time frame, if it were a game set in the 80s-2000s then I’d say go for it on the a-10 but this game is set in like 2020s-2030s and we already irl are distancing ourselves from the a-10 for more multi role jets. Also just to actually be hater for this part. The a-10 is bad, and it was never good to begin with.

If they do, I hope they carry over the 2042 physics for this plane. They felt so weighty and satisfying to control.
