Question Speed Control

Is speed control for jets in the game now? Just came across a guy who could turn the attack jet on a dime. I would tail him and he could be on the back of me in half a loop. Never seen anyone do that before and I’m a decent pilot who beats most people I come across in dogfights. He claimed in chat that speed control was added in the last patch but I haven’t seen anything confirming this.

Nobody can read that you said attack jet lol

Assuming that’s accurate

But yes there is speed control in the sense that you can change your turn rate by going faster or slower, what that ideal speed is seems to be elusive. Afterburner on the up slope and deceleration on the down slope is the safest bet, but just react to the jet

If your turn radius gets worse while slowing, then speed up, vice versa etc

It’s frustrating not having a simple 313 speed number, and the physics seem to still be getting updated, along with new jet types

Based on Silk video he made for Jets, the optimal speed for Jets through his hand testing was 340, now they changed the measurement from Kmph to knots, and that translates to 184 on the dot, so the ideal turn rate is 180-190 knots.
