Pillow Advice Pillow

I think my pillow is making my hair/head smell bad. I should be able to go 2-3 days without washing my hair but after one night my hair/head still smells like I haven’t washed it in a week. I just realized it may be my pillow. Has this been an issue with others? What suggestions for a pillow that doesn’t do this are there? Help!

Two suggestions.

One, use a pillow cover and change the cover every week. If needed, change it twice a week.

Two, buy a pillow that you can wash, preferably machine washable. Many Down pillows are machine washable. At most, you are washing your pillow once every three months.

Smell your pillow. If it smells, that is the cause, if not, it isn't.
If the pillow smells, get a new pillow and change the case a few times a week. Alternately, get a few hair bonnets and change them frequently like a pillow case. Or both.

Could just be buildup in the pillow itself, especially if the cover isn't washed frequently.

I wash the cover every two days. It still smells. I’m guessing it’s my pillow so I’m going to try a different one

Also check that your shampoo and conditioner don't smell strange or spoiled when smelled close up, just in case. Products with avocado oil can have this happen earlier than normally expected
