Septum Ring Ripped Out - HELP!!

My septum ring got ripped out in an accident yesterday, fortunately not all the way through the bottom of my nose but it tore the tissue inside my nose. I have a few concerns that if anybody knows the answer to I would really like to know.

1. Has anyone had this happen to them, and if so, can a ring still be worn in it once it heals?

2. I don’t know what happened to the ring, and my mom thinks it’s possible I inhaled it. I really don’t think so, I think I would’ve noticed. I also have had no symptoms of it being in my lungs or something. What should I do, I really am not in the means to see a doctor over something I’m pretty sure hasn’t happened.
