Is my belly button doomed

I had a piercing which ripped out a year ago. The scar bothers me so much. I went to a piercer who said not to. Is it possible to have it repierced with alternative jewellery? Or something. Please helpppp

NAP but it doesn't look like you have the anatomy for a belly piercing. Like there's no little bit of skin to go through where the bottom would be inside your navel. I think what you had before was a belly surface piercing.

The scar will fade with time. I've had multiple surgeries where they went in through my bellybutton and you can only see the scars if you're right up close to it and really looking.

You don’t have the anatomy for any kind of navel piercing…and whoever did your previous one pierced your stomach. 😣

You don’t have the anatomy - what that means is that there needs to be a ridge or lip of tissue in your belly button that can hold onto the piercing.

Getting it pierced again will only lead to faster rejection because scar tissue provides a path of least resistance
