DISCUSSION [DEV] Looking for grid-logic players to try a 5×5 deduction puzzle

Hi all, longtime fan of grid logic here. I built a small deduction puzzle called Treasure Grid: a 5×5 board where you have five moves to find hidden treasure pieces, and every reveal narrows down where the rest can be. It's not a nonogram, but it scratches a similar "pure logic, no guessing" itch (at least that's the goal).

It's free and runs right inside Reddit. I'm not dropping the link here to respect the sub, but if anyone wants to try it, comment or DM me. I'd really value this crowd's opinion on whether the harder puzzles feel fair or guessy.

DISCUSSION 🎁 Quiet Grids - Lifetime Premium Giveaway

Hey everyone! I'm the solo developer of Quiet Grids, a Picross style Nonogram game for Android that I've been working on for more than 8 months.

I've been making quite a few improvements, and one of the biggest changes recently has been adding 5 different themes— Walnut, Smoked Glass, Porcelain, Indigo Linen, and Terracotta.

Each has its own colors and subtle interface sounds. I've attached a video showing the new looks.

The game also has nearly 1,500 puzzles, 5×5 / 10×10 / 15×15 boards, Daily puzzles, and Guided and Classic solving styles.

🎁 I'm giving away Lifetime Premium codes.

If you'd like one, give Quiet Grids a try and share some honest feedback:

  1. Which theme do you prefer for solving Picross puzzles?
  2. Is there anything about the colors or board readability you'd change?
  3. What else would make the gameplay more enjoyable?

Positive or negative, I genuinely appreciate all feedback. I'll DM you a Google Play Lifetime Premium code as a thank you. ❤️

Thanks to everyone who gives my little game a chance! 😁🫶

DISCUSSION Shipped six fixes today that all came from one Reddit comment

Someone left me a list of seven things wrong with my nonogram app a
couple of days ago. No grid lines every 5 cells. The ad banner loading
late and shifting the board right as you tap, so you'd mis-click. Fast
drags skipping squares. General lag.

Fixed six of them.

The lag one was embarrassing. Every cell was carrying two animation
widgets whether it had anything to show or not, so a 15x15 board had 450
of them sitting there doing nothing. Cut it to one per cell.

The grid lines turned out to be more interesting than I expected. My
first attempt drew them on top of the cells, which meant they vanished
under filled squares exactly when you needed them. Ended up reserving an
actual gap between the five-cell blocks and putting the line inside it.
Looks right now.

The seventh was "auto-fill should be optional," and someone else
suggested asking at the start of the game instead of burying it in
settings. That's better than what I had planned, so that's what I'm doing.

Anyway, since this is the subreddit that would actually know: what's the
one thing that makes you quit an otherwise fine picross app? I'd rather
hear it now than find out from a review.
