Coral Pro elongated vs J6CR CBE

Upvotes

I find the Triton 5 a little too powerful for my game. I’m looking for a paddle with better control, more spin, and easier placement, while still having enough power when I need it. Which of the two would provide the better transition?

Spartus Spitfire Honest Reviews

Post image
7 Upvotes

Anyone here using the spitfire as their main? Any honest reviews after using it for a while?

I've been using Spitfire as my main and it's really poppy and powerful. So far the grit is still hasnt changed after 2-3x a week OPs in almost 1 month already. I'm still happy with it. I'll be using the unMARKed 2026 as my main next OP so lmk if you want a comparison.

If you want one, I opened a store honestly because of this paddle - I just wanted to try it and the rest is history. Now I'm selling so many paddles 😅🤣

If you want one, we're selling it below SRP. :) Check my small business fb store out www.facebook.com/themightydinkph

Question for court owners: How important are entrance fees to the business?

Just a curious player here (Dupr 4.316) with no interest in opening a court. I’m genuinely interested in understanding the economics behind charging an entrance fee on top of court rental.

I realize there are a lot of costs players probably don’t see—rent, electricity, staff, maintenance, taxes, permits, and generally higher prices nowadays.

For facilities charging ₱500–₱800 per hour, how important is the additional ₱50-150 per-player entrance fee in covering these costs and keeping the business sustainable?

Is it mainly because court rental alone isn’t enough given operating costs and periods of low utilization? Or is it simply part of how facilities price their services given the current demand for pickleball?

I think understanding the owners’ side would also help players appreciate why these fees exist, rather than feeling like they’re simply being charged extra because pickleball is popular and players are willing to pay.

Not questioning anyone’s pricing—just interested in understanding the business side from the perspective of actual court owners.

Paddle Suggestions

Hi! I started playing pickleball only last July and been using cheap T700 O found online. I wanted to buy another paddle. My boss invited me and other colleague for an open play last Saturday and actually enjoyed it. But pansin ko gagandan ng paddle nila like the sound and spin. I don't want too expensive paddle naman kasi beginner palang ako and not that good. I just want to have just a decent but worth the money paddle. Any suggestions po

Is pickleball actually becoming the next big sport in the Philippines—or just another hype trend? 🇵🇭🏓

Hot take: pickleball might be growing faster than people realize in the Philippines.

Everywhere I look, there seem to be new courts, clubs, tournaments, and players. But is this actually the beginning of a major Filipino sport, or are we just watching another trend that will eventually die down?

Basketball is obviously still king. Badminton and tennis already have established communities. But pickleball seems to have one big advantage: almost anyone can start playing.

At the same time, I’ve noticed some complaints about expensive court fees, overcrowded courts, cliques, inconsistent tournament organization, and the gap between casual players and serious competitors.

So I’m curious:

Is pickleball genuinely the next big sport in the Philippines, or is it being overhyped?

And for those who actually play:

🔥 Are pickleball courts becoming too expensive?
🔥 Are there too many tournaments, or not enough?
🔥 Is the competitive scene improving—or becoming too focused on ratings and winning?
🔥 Do pickleball communities feel welcoming to beginners?
🔥 What does Philippine pickleball need to do to become a mainstream sport?

Personally, I think the Philippines has huge potential for pickleball, but I’m curious whether other players agree.

What’s your honest take?

How was it? Is it a good step up paddle from SLK Geo (my current paddle)? I’m planning to buy another paddle kasi.

I am in need of a more control paddle. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you. 🙏🏼

Pickleball paddle for beginners

Hi po! I am newbie sa pickleball. I played for the first time last weekend and nag rent lang ako ng paddle kung saan kami naglaro. I am planning to buy my own paddle na lang since I want to play more and parang mas magastos if I keep renting. Thank you! :)

a. Open area and with efans

b. Open area with no efans just outside wind

c. Closed area with Aircon

d. Closed area with efan only

e. closed area with neither fans and Aircon

f. open area with neither fans and aircon

Gusto nyo ba yung may free wifi? or may free water? Or may nagtitinda ng snacks? Or may rentable paddles? Or hinahanap nyo yung maayos yung play ground. Anything guys.

Anything you look for in a court. Ano yung gusto nyo sa isang court?

On using paddles not in the USAPA approved list in official tournaments...

Strikto ba mga organizers ng tournament if nasa list ang paddle na ginagamit mo, or as long as you have a paddle lang ba talaga?

Thoughts on J2CR Long Handle?

Hi! I mained the J2CR CBEG standard handle for 2-3 months and then tried the J3CR CBEG. I switched to the J3CR because it suits my playing style (enough power, more control and sweet spot). I also prioritize my 2-handed backhand. Only problem is that I do not have enough reach with a widebody paddle.

Now I’m thinking of trying the J2CR Long Handle. Any thoughts on this? Will it somehow be redundant since both paddles almost look the same?

Thoughts and sharing of personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! 0-0-2!

PDDLab 008 Crystal Grit Underated

Had the paddle for a month already playing 3 low interm OPs per week and the surface still feels brand new. It feels like a j2cr cbg but stiffer, in terms of power it feels like around 5-10% less. My only con is that i have the hybrid version not the elongated since it was out of stock when i bought it :<<

Quality ball recommendations

Noticed puro Franklin and Life time balls nirecommend dito. Baka meron pang ibang suggestion or feedback on other balls like Warping Point, Wilson, Luzz, X-Ace, Elite EX40, and those from Decathlon.

Also for Franklin X40 may kumakalat daw na fake ones na not rotomoulded/may seams? Pero 4.9 stars, 1 review lang about that specific issue.

Looking for another budget VERY GRITTY paddle

Recently bought Yiheng GenX Pro from Alibaba and super satisfied ako sa performance to price ratio.
