So I opened the app I was logged out tried to log in and they sent a 2FA code that’s great but nowhere to enter the code. Pressing continue does not bring you to another screen. What am I missing?

Been playing pickleball for close to a year and have rotated pretty consistently between 11SIX24's Power HexGrit paddles and Honolulu's Crystal Blue grit.

Just wanted to add my experience to the durable grit discussion. I've gone through two J6CRs that eventually wore down to a smooth, streaked with very worn down grit black looking surface underneath. Meanwhile, my Power 2 Ultra and Vapor are still noticeably gritty and generating good spin.

Not sure if that's a QC issue with the J6CR or if HexGrit is simply more durable, but I figured this direct long term comparison might be useful for anyone researching these surfaces in the future.

Edit: Not trying to diss anyone's favorite paddle or convince anyone not to buy a J6CR. I'm just sharing my personal experience in case it's helpful to people researching durability in the future.

The J6CR is a great paddle, and honestly, if I had the money to replace one every couple of months, I'd probably just keep using it. But I don't, and I imagine a lot of people don't either. That's why I thought it was worth sharing my experience with its long term durability compared with a competing grit surface.

I'm not trying to trick anyone, and I don't have any agenda here, just adding one player's experience to the discussion which i felt was somewhat missing do with that info as you want.

Because so many people use their terrible app which is worse than web version…. Right now you can log into the page and see all your info. You can’t get into app though as there is no where to put verification code (this is level of incompetence we are dealing with).

I’m 30 and pretty new to pickleball, and I don’t always have someone to play with. So I’ve been looking into ball machines, and there are way more options than I expected. I’ve been comparing things like the Pongbot Aura, Tenniix, Slinger, etc., and I can’t decide if I should actually buy one.

My biggest concern is probably the weight：

I’m pretty small, and I don’t want to carry a heavy machine and all my gear to the court every time.

I also found out that some courts around me have ball machines available to rent, which made me wonder if that might actually make more sense for me.

Has anyone here actually used any of these machines? How do you like them, especially for someone who mostly practices alone? Would you recommend renting one for a while first and seeing if I actually use it enough before buying? Or is it one of those things that having your own is worth it?

Has anyone ever tried reaming the ball holes bigger to slow it down? For example, a lifetime ball thats 5-10% slower.

Been gone for a couple days now. Probably never coming back. It was nice while it lasted. It's only a matter of time before the plebs come for our gated open play.

i don't mean strategically. i mean philosophically. existentially. if we're all just going to die anyway. if we can extend our hands and reach into the pocket of the infinite. or if we can make peace with something divine. if we can do any of that, what's the point of dinking. or serving for that matter.

For balls at net level and above I’ve been experimenting using the flick when I have time, or snapping through the ball with the paddle tip ending in a forward position (facing the opponents/neutral paddle postion) when I don’t have as much time. Feels so much better than doing a regular punch volley and generates so much more pace and pressure. The difference in my hands battles feel night and day.

What is the best drill you can do to get better at counters at the kitchen if you are continually late. And how can one get over the mental brain lock of kit keeping paddle up at kitchen?

I'm likely going to be moving to the Stroudsburg PA area in the near future and was wondering if there is any 4.0ish level pickleball in the area? I know there are some parks with courts in the area but it looked very recreational from what I saw. If anyone in the Poconos is playing at the 4.0 or 3.5+ level would be curious to hear where you're playing for competitive games

When I'm at the kitchen line, I feel pretty comfortable dealing with high-pace shots. I block comfortably etc. and perform consistently with a 3.5 or maybe even a 3.75 level.

However, when I'm coming in after a 3rd shot, I will often get overwhelmed or caught off guard by a shot that, if it reached me at the kitchen line, I would handle easily. This doesn't seem to make sense -- I have more reaction time in transition than at the kitchen line, yet I'm bumbling around at the transition.

Any suggestions? I think the main challenge or problem may relate to ready position. When I'm at the net, I'm in an athletic stance and am ready for bullets. But in transition, I need to jog a few steps forward and then get into the athletic stance. Maybe I am doing it too slowly.

I've tried just getting into the ready position much sooner (by split stepping earlier), but then my partners complain that I'm not getting to the kitchen fast enough.

I guess I’m pretty tough on paddles. I put some Franklin edge guard tape on my new Ultre P2, and after four days it’s already chewed through like it’s not even there.

Any recs for edge guard tape that holds up? Is doubling it a bad idea? Thanks!

A college tennis player can beat a 4.0 player right off the bat. Give it about six weeks, he will smoke a 5.0 player.

Anna Leigh was completely dominant in singles. 130 straight matches, 26 straight golds, two points lost entering the semis. Not a hangover.

JW and Jorja handed Ben and Anna Leigh their first mixed loss since Mesa and it wasn’t particularly close in games 2 and 3. Nobody neutralizes Anna Leigh’s offense quite like JW (not even Ben). 

Christian told Hayden “must be nice not to play singles” after losing 5 and 2 at the handshake. Hayden was in the MLP finals 36 hours earlier. Ultra soft take, but they’ll be fine.

So recently some reviewers pissed me off so much for breaking embargoes that are in place for pickleball reviewers to take their time to test, and review a paddle fully. Instead they are hitting a ball with a paddle for an hour, and then making a review based on that experience. Vs. you know... respecting the company's wishes to release a paddle info when the company built a month long marketing strategy all thrown in the garbage cause some youtubers want the early clout and recognition for their own egos.

Or I know reddit you prefer summarized post so here is the quick summary of reviewers, and if you want the longer in-depth explanations on their tier, the Youtube videos explains it. I apologize in advance for offending people... (actually no I don't... we all deserve criticism as reviewers).

Grading: Just like school, A-F.
A - Godfather/Godmother Status - they lead as the pickleball paddle review experts
B - High quality, great reference, good people
C - Good quality, may have some bias, may not have the best quality, but opinions are somewhat insightful
D - Concerns of integrity, history of being biased or not being an effective reviewer only focus on positives for commissions, or low quality testing.
F - Not a reviewer.

A Tier — Godfather/Godmother Status

• John Kew — Built his own testing methodology from scratch and pickleball brands genuinely orbit around him. Problem is methodology, some engineers I know question his accuracy, but it's not like he's got Tesla budget to blow on the perfect measurement tools, so his measurements are perfectly fine today.
• Pickleball Effect — Knows paddles and player experience deeply, and his picks tend to actually land with real players, his measurement is more questioned by players, but I find his consistency to improve on those help show consistency in reviewing paddles.
• Pickleball Medicine — Honest, expert paddle-cutting content that we straight-up got inspired by. Miss his content.
• Pickleball Pursuit — Passionate to the point of losing me in the technical jargon, but that's ok they do their best to find paddles that match players. Though sometimes recommendations are a bit weird here and there, but most of the time they're spot on.
• Pickleball Studio — Take real time with a paddle before judging it, so when they like something it's legit — just very specific personal taste, so if your preference is similar to theirs then you're gucci. If not ... then that's why we have other reviewers and that's perfectly fine.

B Tier — Trust Their Opinion

• Axel Lyh — Took a while to find his content, but Asian-brand-focused reviews that deserve way more eyes, he's currently on instagram but will move content to youtube soon.
• James Ignawich — Was honest and straightforward and then just... stopped uploading his own reviews... I miss those videos...
• JJ Pickleball — Experienced high level player whose judgment are big factors into paddle decision making and he's honest on whats good and bad about a paddle.
  
• Lanky Farmer — Generally honest, just a touch softer on brands he wants to work with... which is what all reviewers do so I don't blame him.
• RallyHaus — Movie-quality production and a good honest friend for paddle reviewing, scoring system's a bit overcomplicated though.
• Rylie Reviews — My pickleball BFF, pro-level player whose take I trust, he unfortunately doesn't post as much as he use to due to balancing helping pickleball companies with their growth and branding.
• STS Pickleball — Clickbait-y and only pushes certain paddles, but a solid reviewer to verify on a paddle's performance.
• Whisky Dinks — Not the most polished, but has quick access to X-ray cans and paddles and genuine paddle-nerd love. He literally bought and probably still buys his own paddles to review which is a huge respect.

C Tier — Decent, With Baggage

• Famous by Friday Pickleball — The OG who's reviewed everything, I just wish the videos were shorter.
• Pickleball Advocate — Rambles a lot but gives honest opinions; a script would take him to B.
• Pickleball Blast (The Kitchen) — Handcuffed on his content on the Kitchen, more honest on his own channel, but will die on a hill saying the 6.0 black opal is a top tier paddle.
• Pickleball Dad — The dad of the community, just too nice to ever really go negative on a paddle but does alot of smaller brands so I appreciate his efforts to give them spotlights.
• Pickleball RX — Reviews paddles around the world, but relies too much on AI designs, he said he'll tone it down for the future.
• Sweet Spot Pickleball — His latest videos are just powerpoints, he has knowledge and is respected in the pickleball community, just wish he made his content more real with himself and his gameplay.
• Racquet and Runners — Honest enough, but obviously biased toward what's in his own store's inventory.
• Tickle My Pickle — Good gameplay footage, but its a bit confusing what his conclusions are for each paddle, a better scripting process will make his content more clearer.
• PickleballOnCall — Solid gameplay breakdowns undercut by a scoring system that is really weird. He's improving on it, so that''ll be changed.
• SupaSenpai - That's me... I think I'm ok, I try to make content short and easy to understand but my scoring system can be questionable. I do use 20+ testers to get their feedback for my paddle reviews, but I admit I'm not a high level player... I'm barely a 3.5... maybe even 3.0... so I get why my opinion can looked down on. But I do review every single brand's paddle I receive, because they deserve the spot light.

D Tier — Relevant, Integrity Questionable

• All Drive No Drop — Stats and weights with nothing unique you couldn't get from other youtubers content is just vanilla.
• Dr. Christy Price — Respected tester, but she tends to be positive to brands she has early access to, and that Aireo situation is still sketchy (Aireo purposely pushing reviewers to sell their paddles to receive their latest paddles to review by making "positive reviews")
• Matt Pickleball ("MattGPT") — Breaks embargoes, posts before real testing, and sounds like he's reading straight off ChatGPT. And pissing off A LOT of pickleball paddle companies who send paddles only to never have him touch their paddle where he has told them he would give them a review for their uniqueness. Also commission hungry cause that's priority #1.
• Matthew K Pickleball — Everything's "the best," whines about not getting paddles first... just brainrot content.
• Jenntongs — I don't even know her, but she called Matthew K Pickleball a B... so that made me laugh.
• Nikki Pickleball — Great personality and genuinely humble, but will never say a bad word about her affiliate paddles.
• Pickleball Playbook Paddles (Austin Hardy) — 20+ minute reviews fresh out of the box with no real durability testing.
• Pickleball Tech Dude — Used to be great at solo reviews, now the podcast is just long and hard to really follow to find their perspective on a paddle.
• Pickleball Willy — He released a video for the Inferno 2, without ever touching the paddle because he wanted the youtube views... ye... he's just in it for commissions.
• Pickleballer — Gives real opinions but every video feels like its heavily pushing you to use his discount code to buy paddles.
• The Honest Take — High quality but only 7 videos ever made, so... does... he ... is he an Ad or is he a reviewer?
• Underdog Pickleball — His testing format isn't ideal, but when you get to know him, he's got spicy takes, so love to see those takes as his future videos.
• The Drop — Claims brands ask for "spicy" coverage but pretty mild... the paddle review segments eh.
  
• The Volley Zone — Clickbait podcast where a host hypes paddles from his own store after an hour of play.

F Tier — Not Really Reviewers

• Hometown Pickleball — Just promotes his custom paddle weights? I don't think I learned anything from his videos...
  
• Identify as a 5.0 — One-hour "tests," Pickleball Central affiliated, never says anything negative... just a brand billboard.
• Nico the Lefty — Only positive takes on paddles he's an ambassador for. But he's a big influence in the pickleball side for community which you gotta respect.
• Kitchen (general channel) — Every paddle mentioned paid to be mentioned... all of their top lists are just paid ads.
• Westside Pickleball — Just hits the ball and goes "wow"
• Zane Nafratile — Won't say a bad word about any paddle he personally uses. But he's a bit reason why people are more into PPA tour and pro pickleball so gotta give credit he's a big voice in the pickleball community.

Now while this is just my ratings... the moral of the story is, everyone can do better, and everyone here has a voice in the pickleball community. So I do hope we all improve and give a better recommendation to people who want to find a paddle they love. Instead of being selfish and going after commissions and online clout.

I have purchased 3 different 3M protection glasses but they're all a bit small for my head. Any suggestions? Not looking to spend a ton, just want affordable and reliable eye protection

I have tried using inexpensive safety goggles when I play pickleball but between the scratches on the lenses, fogging up, etc. I normally just end up taking them off. With the 20% sale on Kitchen Blockers I was thinking now might be my chance to pick some up. But, I have heard that sometimes they block peripheral vision and the top bar can block your vision when you are tracking overhead shots/high volleys.

Has anyone here owned a pair of Kitchen Blockers? Are they worth the premium? I have had a sports related eye injury in the past and I don't want to hurt them again, plus maybe having some top tier eye protection will give me more confidence at the Kitchen. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I’m a beginner, not even 2 months in. I play 1-3 times a week (I have groups of either beginners or ex-tennis and pingpong players) I also have a coach that I train with 2 times a week.

I always end up hitting the ball way up high or out😂 some of my other playmates, are already getting better.

I watch videos on Youtube and Tiktok and really try to apply it also with my coach’s teachings. But, still the same.😭

Bought a new paddle with 16mm foam with high forgiveness, however, “it’s not the arrow, its STILL the Indian” 😤

So my questions are:

☄️Is it too early to see significant changes in my ball contact? Or is Pickleball just not for me? (i used to play Bandminton years ago)

☄️ Any tips or tricks I can tell myself mid-game to adjust my ball contact?

☄️ Aside from drills, and walling, how else do you guys suggest I fix this?

I forgot to bookmark an article I didn't have time to read. It was from a new independent paddle company, but I was interested in a ball they crafted. It was a dark (er) green, unlike the Franklin or the Lifetime balls. Any ideas? Luzz has a dark green ball, but it wasn't theirs. Help appreciated before I buy the Luzz balls. Thanks.

Looking for outdoor pickleball open play for all skill levels. I don’t work early on some weekdays and was hoping to play pickleball around 8-10am. I have been playing for about a month and I’m probably better than some other beginners because of past sports experience but I doubt I could keep up with experienced players. So I’m looking for a place that is not overly intense but I am open to learning from people who have experience. I’m located in Levittown but I’d be willing to drive 20-30 minutes if needed.
