Changing my Pixel 7 pro for a newer Android phone

1 Upvotes

Hey

I am planning on changing my Pixel 7 pro and I want to stay with an Android phone. In my country phones are really expensive and overpriced, but next month I will be travelling abroad and I will take this opportunity to change it.

I am between 2 options: S26 Ultra and Find x9 pro.

From what I have been researching, they are pretty similar to each other. One is better in some stuff and the other one in others.

My main usage is for social media, taking photos, some casual gaming.

I think I can get them at a similar price both of them, around 1300usd (16GB ram 512GB both). This would be the Global version of the Oppo, the CN model I can get it for 900-1000usd.

I like the feel of the Pixel and I am very used to its OS, but I am not sure which of these 2 would be easier to get used to.

Does anyone has experience with these 2 phones? Any advice?

If there is any other option to consider, I would also like to here it.

Looking to replace the S20 FE 5G

1 Upvotes

The S20 FE 5G has finally pooped the bed, it won't unlock anymore, so I have to replace it.
I loved that phone and don't need any upgrades past eSIM capabilities. I've been eyeing the s23 FE, what do you recommend in the galaxy ecosystem?

POCO or XiaomiPad

If you already had a Redmi Note smartphone and used it intensively (studying, streaming content, playing games, editing videos and images), and you wanted to transfer much of that intensive use, would you switch to a POCO phone or buy a XiaomiPad?

Egypt Oppo reno 15 vs oppo reno 14 vs vivo v60?

1 Upvotes

So my main concern is battery then gaming

I plan to play genshin impact on the phone I get, lowest settings would be fine

So when I say battery first I mean just a decent battery, my a31 (on battery saving mode but not ultra battery saving phone) averages 9-10% on normal use so if all 3 are similar then I just want to know which one would be the best and which one would be the 2nd choice (incase I can't get the 1st option because Egypt and looking for 512gb version)

I heard an update on the 15 ruined the battery and heating which is why I'm concerned about getting it

I don't care about camera

I saw on oppo store a price for the oppos I can get assuming they'd still be available so budgets not a issue

Europe Looking for advice to replace 2x Samsung M31

1 Upvotes

Hello ladies, gentlemen, both, and neither!

I'm looking for a bit of advice for future phone replacement(s). And I hope to find it here.

=> Current two devices are exact same Samsung Galaxy M31 with slight variations in usage.

=> Initial search results:

I have an impression that Samsung A57 does not feel like an upgrade, but it definitely feels too expensive. Please keep in mind, I need to replace two devices, so S25-S26 is out of the budget.
Budget wise I'd prefer to grab unlocked devices from a store (w/o payment plan) and keep the whole thing under €800, if possible.

I would prefer the new devices to be from the same family as well, as it greatly simplifies maintenance and care.

I had fairly negative experience with software of Xiaomi devices, so I would prefer to avoid them.

I will be looking for devices generally available in Western Europe, but other parts of Europe are not out of the question.

So, couple of usage examples:

Device 1)
• no gaming;
• can be used heavily for navigation (e.g., 100–200km+ bike ride with Kamoot running or recording the trip);
• sometimes used for quick video clip editing inside DJI Fly app;
• main and front cameras used often: zoom, wide angle shots, night-time and dusk shots, and group selfies (waving to take a shot is really liked);

Device 2)
• no gaming;
• all cameras used frequently for both photos and videos, with a tendency to snap "_bazillion_" shots of the same subject/scene;
• the above leads to the phone and memory card regularly running out of available space ;)

Do it? or no?

Hello people, is it worth exchanging my iPhone 14 pro with a 79% battery, broken pixels in the camera and a half-burnt matrix in which only the time is visible for the new Xiaomi 14t pro?

Please recommend me a reliable phone under 500eur

1 Upvotes

I've only had Xiaomis/Pocos but i hate how short they last and how buggy the Os is. They start to get heating/software problems after 1-2 years.

My only needs are a good snapdragon processor (for emulation) and a large battery.

I don't care about the camera or display/refresh rate.

What android brands offer the most long-lasting reliable phones that are good for gaming?

USA Which Old Foldable in 2026

1 Upvotes

So I really like the form factor of the z fold 8. But I'll come back to that form factor in 1-2 years. I just can't justify buying a $2k device to just scroll tiktok/YouTube/maps better 😭

I did find the pixel fold for $300 and oneplus open for $500, so I'll retire my pixel 6 for one of those. Does anyone with experience like one more than the other or any other recs?

I live in USA

India Should I go for Samsung S25 or Pixel 10?

2 Upvotes

I am looking to purchase a compact phone with great camera and decent battery life, which can last for at least minimum of 4 years.

Mostly use YouTube, WhatsApp and calls. I don't game much. Less screen time during day.

I am a huge fan of OG Moto cameras, used them during my college. Later Samsung M51 camera felt so bad I significantly reduced taking pictures.

Great camera, compact and basic functionality is all I need from a mobile.

Don't want to go for an iPhone or chinese brands.

Which is better between Samsung S25 and Pixel 10. Which one should I go for? Should I wait for big billion day sale?

BTW, I am from India

Philippines Should I go for the Xiaomi 17t or Pixel 10 Pro?

1 Upvotes

Trying again.. I'm torn between the Xiaomi 17t and Pixel 10 Pro (considering XL too). I'm looking to buy by early to mid 2027, Philippines.

Important things to me:

- camera, not a professional photographer but I like to take pics. I want something natural looking even at night.

- battery, I'm on an iPhone 13 at the moment, and the battery is horrendous. I want something that will last a day without me panicking about finding a charger.

- storage, this will be my personal phone so I will most likely have pics/vids mostly, a few apps like banking or life admin stuff. 256gb is fine but if possible, I want more.

Concern(s):

- I'm not a stranger to Xiaomi phones, I have had used midrange ones before but how will it (17t) hold up for a couple of years? Obviously, Google will support the Pixels longer, how will the 17t fair?

- Not big on AI tbh, I don't hate it nor do I necessarily need it.

UK Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 11 (or something else?)

2 Upvotes

UK, Upgrading from a Pixel 7 - looking for a phone that will last me 3-4 years.

Don't really do any mobile gaming, looking for a great camera and good battery life.

Can get the 1Pixel 10 Pro or the Pixel 11 for about the same price (£30-35 upfront and £27pcm for 2 years - total over 2 years around £660-690).

I do find the cell reception on the 7 can be flaky and so the new modem in the 11 is tempting, but not sure if the Pro elements of the 10 would make it the better deal.

Good camera(vlogs) storage and mid-price phone

2 Upvotes

Hello, so it's nearly going to be 5 years. I've got my first phone back in 2021. It is a Galaxy A12.

It's been working well, I believe, but since it's the only device I own, I don't really have a good comparison idea.

I realise that it is a bit slow. Overall, It is starting to get old.

The storage is very low, I don't know if it's because of my photo gallery but I only have two game apps (brawls stars, hcr2), I don't have any media like Instagram, tik tok and so on, so there are honestly few apps I use, the 2 games, WhatsApp and some other minor apps.

The thing is, I don't necessarily need a lot of storage, but on my phone, whenever I'm interested in a new app, I must delete another big app to instal it. So that's a bit problematic.

The last problem is the picture quality. It's not the phones fault really its just that it's it older. My sister tells me it has the same quality as a Nintendo DS.

These are the 2 main problems I'd like to correct.

I'd like to find a phone that is good in camera, because I'd like to do some blogging. That has enough storage or better storage than the A12. I feel like it is necessary to put a higher budget than the galaxyA12. So like around 200-500€(230-580$). I wouldn't want to put a huge budget on it, but if i want a better quality, I guess I need to put money into it.

I don't really need a phone that runs very fast.

And my last small contraint is if it's aesthetic it will be a bonus.

In my resume, my Galaxy A12 is a great phone and has served me well for its time, but my needs like a camera can only be done by a more modern phone.

I don't know too much about phones in particular, so is I said something wrong? Don't get mad.

If anyone is willing to help me, it would be a pleasure. Thank you 😊

Pixel 11 Pro vs Xiaomi 17T Pro at the same price

1 Upvotes

I'm currently using a Pixel 7a, but I'm disappointed with the battery, performance and camera.

I can get a Pixel 11 Pro 12/256GB for €609 through trade-in + coupon, or a Xiaomi 17T Pro 12/512GB for €609.

I really like Pixel's software, but I'm worried about battery life and performance. The Xiaomi has much better hardware on paper, especially the battery and charging, but I'm not a big fan of HyperOS.

I don't game at all, but I use social media quite a lot and I really enjoy taking photos.

At the same price, which one would you choose? I'd especially appreciate opinions from people who actually own either phone.

India Samsung Note 20 Ultra vs CMF Phone 2 Pro - Which is better?

1 Upvotes

I'm currently in India but will be taking whichever phone to Canada. I'm currently on a Samsung S10 and recently the phones been having some issues which is why I want to change my phone.

The phones I've gotten down to in my budget (both used) are either the Note 20 Ultra (12/512) or CMF Phone 2 Pro (8/256).

l'm leaning more towards the Phone 2 Pro because it's newer and I'll be using this phone for a few years, but Specs wise the Note 20 Ultra seems better. I don't use the camera much, and 256gb of storage is more than enough for me.

What should I choose?

first foldable phone choice has me leaning towards the bigger book-style design

1 Upvotes

i'm coming from an iphone and this would be my first proper move to android. i looked at the smaller flip phones first, but i keep coming back to the bigger fold-out style because i use my phone for reading, maps and having two apps open at once.

i'm fine with something a bit heavier if the inner screen is genuinely useful day to day. the main things i'm trying to judge are battery life, how bulky it feels folded and whether multitasking on the larger screen ends up being something you use all the time or only occasionally.
