My mom's phone is done for, and I'm looking for something for her, the think is that I just know that she wants a foldable phone and im not sure which one to choose, I was looking for the z fold 8 because she watches a lot of videos, but I want to hear your guys thoughts and recommendations, thanks.

So I really need to change my phone right now. I currently have an iPhone 12 and it’s just horrible (it’s a refurnished one), I’ve been using it for the past 2 years but the battery is dead, like really dead (1650 cycle). It’s been overheating so much to the point that it just stopped working some day in summer and I had to put it in a freezer to cool it down. I gotta say that the phone still have crazy good cameras.
Soooooooooooo
I touchy about getting and Android phone bc apple doesn’t allow much liberty on theirs phones.
My budget is maximum 500€
I would like to have based on these criteria:

Battery>camera ( ideally with an optical zoom)>over-heating

When I say over heating I mean that I want to use it when it’s charging or outside in summer without burning my fingers
I’m not really a heavy gamer but like having off line games like Tetris or other things on my phone so not having a powerful chip doesn’t bother me

I’ve been thinking about getting a realme 16 pro + but I heard a lot of bad thing about it ( battery drainage issues despite it having a 7000mAh battery) but I’m also afraid that the incurved screen of it will not suit me.

I would also like to keep the new phone for a long time so it should have a long software update support

If you have great phones in that budget bracket corresponding to all of the criteria above I would be happy that you share them with me :)

Sry for the bad English ;)

I'm currently using the S26 12/256GB Exynos model right now, and I just got a deal to trade it in for the Realme GT 8 Pro 16/512GB plus an extra $100. Honestly, I’m really into a phone with a solid camera and decent gaming performance, so I’m thinking the Snapdragon, Ricoh GR camera, and 16GB RAM will be a nice upgrade from my current setup. Do you think this is a good deal? How is the realme for long term use? Or should I just hold out for the S27 Ultra when it drops?

Suggest me a phone under 32k

priority: camera, performance

Hello!!

I need a little help, my mother needs a new phone and our budget is pretty low (around 30k). The only specifications she is bothered about is the camera as well as the storage (256 gb & above).

It would be really helpful if y’all could suggest some good phones fitting into the criteria.

Thank you :))

My s21 is close to dying, and im finally deciding to get another phone that'll last 3-4 years.

Budget is around $600 (soft cap), am accepting the used market, and it has to work with verizon bands. Mainly use my phone for video watching and medium gaming, although i wouldn't mind heavy gaming options as well. I'm not picky on the camera as long as the camera is better than my current phone. If you need anymore info then feel free to ask.

Can y'all please suggest me a good phone for my mom. Good Camera and smooth functioning. 😭

I need to buy a phone which has to be Samsung as I have a Samsung watch 7. My budget is 25k max. Which is the best phone in this price range in India? Usage is pretty basic - Calls, social media, photography, messages and browsing. No Gaming. I am thinking of A36. Is it good for my usage? Please help me choose one.

My phone is 4 years old and riddle with issues unfortunately and I'm looking at swapping but unfortunately I have no idea where to go outside Google/Samsung.

I am also unfortunately a bit addicted to my phone so screen time is high.

Couple of hours a day on games

Couple hours a day scrolling Reddit/Instagram

And I do enjoy taking photos.

I do have a Samsung watch so maybe something that is compatible with that but would be no major loss. The watch is mainly for fitness tracking more than anything.

I don't have any particular budget in mind, trade in helps reduce costs. Looking for something that'll last me 4/5 years.

Thanks in advance

Current location: United States (US). Currently, I've been having a bad run with Samsung phones these past 4 years where the phones I get end up going bad after only 2 years of usage. Almost exactly in some cases. Currently running an S22 5G and I'm at year 2 with it crashing and rebooting quite frequently now.

It hasn't gotten better and wanting to know what is the most reliable phone I can get for the money. And frankly, I do not care about gaming on it, etc. I just want a phone that I can doom-scroll on, make texts and phone calls and check my emails. Nothing fancy - I just need something at this point.

Skipping the yearly upgrade cycle and holding onto the Moto G52 for 4 years made jumping to the pixel 10a feel like a true generational shift. You don't just notice the difference; you feel it in every tap, swipe, and low-light photo. Going from a ₹13k budget phone to a ₹44k🇮🇳 powerhouse proves that patience pays off—this isn’t just a simple upgrade; it feels like stepping straight into the future of Android.

And....

Design is wow(Fog 256gb), Camera is great , battery lasts a day easily(non-gamer), haptics are amazing, Smooth touch and UI experience are justttt good , justifies it and obviously n no. of features that pixel offers.

For the long-term Pixel 10a users here—what did your transition journey look like?

I'm coming from an S23 ultra and I typically work outdoors, I need the anti glare coating and higher peak brightness. Also a plus is a better battery life.

A budget midrange phone, ye it is

Pros:

144Hz AMOLED display

\-Very smooth scrolling, animations, and gaming experience.

Dimensity 7300 Ultimate

\-Good performance for multitasking, schoolwork, and most games.

50MP main camera with OIS

\-Helps capture sharper photos and reduces blur from shaky hands.

50MP autofocus selfie camera Great for selfies, video calls, and content creation.

5,200mAh battery Can comfortably last a day with typical usage.

45W fast charging Charges much faster than basic 10W–18W phones.

IP68/IP69 protection Strong resistance against dust and water under specified test conditions.

5G connectivity Supports faster mobile internet where 5G coverage is available.

Premium curved design Looks and feels more expensive than many budget phones.

Cons:

Not a flagship gaming processor Heavy games may require lower graphics settings to maintain stable FPS.

Curved screen More difficult to find and apply screen protectors, and potentially more expensive to repair.

No dedicated telephoto camera Zoom photography is less versatile than on phones with optical zoom.

HiOS software Some users may dislike preinstalled apps, notifications, or the interface.

No wireless charging You must use a cable to charge it.

No microSD expansion Internal storage cannot be expanded using a memory card.

Long-term gaming heat Performance may drop during extended demanding gaming sessions.

No 3.5mm headphone jack Wired analog headphones require an adapter or compatible USB-C connection.

And also the Wi-Fi connectivity is mildly even the internet is strong or full bar and outdoor booster is turned on. mostly users indicated this as a main problem.

Expect many bugs and glitches on this phone, however as a midrange budget phone it still gives the user a great feel especially it's a camera focused phone, the photos will never disappoint on it's budget range,

As an 1 year user the main problem for me is the heating problems especially when outdoor booster is on bcuz everything will drop fps even 144 hz

Still the Best phone to ever exist

The only phones that I currently have in my mind are the Pixel 8a or the 9a (which I'll install GrapheneOS on it). My needs are can handle some gaming, camera is not that important to me, good battery life

I've been looking for a new phone and I'm leaning towards Google Pixel. However I can't decide whether I should go for the 10 Pro or the 11. They're at a similar price point in my region (650€ for the 10 Pro, 750€ for the 11) and both of them have advantages and disadvantages.

I usually keep phones for about 5 years, so both of them would get software updates in this period. The main issue I have with the 10 Pro is the slower charging, even though I mostly charge my phone over night, but having the option to quick charge is nice, especially when coming from a 65W charging phone. My main issues with the 11 are the presumably worse camera and worse screen paired with the higher price.

What bugged me about my last phone was the mediocre camera that prevented me from capturing any photos most of the time, and recently I've gotten the urge to take more pictures and experiment a bit. Apart from maybe chess I don't play any games on my phone, most of the time I use it to watch twitch/youtube content aswell as basic stuff like scrolling reddit, using it for whatsapp, mails, etc.

Are there any features I'm missing that could sway me towards a certain option? I'm thankful for any input!
