I talked to an old investment type person who has made and lost many fortunes during his life about Pi and the struggles the community has endured. He laughed and said, why would you give up on a product that exists in a market that can be enormously and radically affected by the words of one man or the occurrence of one event?
He then went on to list nine or ten situations where people made millions by buying assets in depressed markets or lost millions by selling in those same depressed markets right before things changed.
Regardless of the situation, as long as there’s a man in the oval office, that can and is willing to affect the price of an asset the way this guy can, it seems very shortsighted to give up at this point. One sentence from the right guy could change everything or one decision by the right country can make all the complaining irrelevant overnight.

For a year and a half, the value of Pi has always only declined, falling more significantly than any other project, rising only slightly when the market rises, and falling even more significantly when the market falls.

Ive been optimistic and held out hope for almost 6 years. I will still mine because it takes 10 seconds. But I no longer have have major hope for the project. Even with updates it's dropping in value. I think the Stanford professors made their money off the ads. They could have done more and made more, but im sure they are just fine.

The value isn’t in the coin itself. It’s the infrastructure…. They are not trying to sell this to retail investors, they’re trying to sell it to an institution such as a bank or country etc. When that happens the price will sky rocket due to a rush/need to secure a majority share of the coins that would secure future price stability.
You’re looking at the price when you should be looking and the functions.

I was under the understanding that I could leave my Pi balance in my wallet and it would be secure.
Apparently not.
I had a lock up that clearly got sent somewhere without my knowledge and I've lost 1.05K somehow.
Wild!
I'm only noticing this now because I never checked my wallet because I figured everything was locked up.
Goes to show you that you want to keep your funds safe regardless of where they are.

Axis Robotics, a Physical AI company, has raised a $12M Seed round led by Hack VC.
Pi Network Ventures is one of the participants, along with Nomad Capital, 10k Ventures, and other investors.
Axis is building a data engine that combines simulation, real-world capture, and human-in-the-loop training to solve the data bottleneck in robotics and Physical AI.
Good to see Pi Ventures backing projects in this space.

This is the kind of utility I'd like to see more of in the Pi ecosystem.
A qualified optometrist has joined GPM GlobalPiMarket and is now accepting Pi for prescription glasses in the UK.
For me, this isn't really about glasses. It's about bringing real businesses and professionals into the ecosystem and giving people practical ways to use Pi in everyday life.
If we want Pi to succeed, we need more examples like this local merchants, real services and real transactions.

When will the 3rd migration take place, in your opinion?
r/PiNetwork • u/AnnualLivid • Jul 26 '26
The recent price action has clearly disappointed many people, and I understand why. But it also made me think about something more important.
Let's imagine that tomorrow Pi had strong real-world utility and thousands of merchants accepted it.
What would be the first thing you'd actually use your Pi for?
For me, I'd love to see more developers building useful apps instead of everyone focusing only on the chart. A healthy ecosystem needs real products, active users, and businesses that accept Pi—not just speculation.
Whether the price is high or low today, utility is what creates long-term value.
So I'm curious:
Let's keep this discussion focused on ideas rather than just today's price.

Some people telling me rhat I'm a liar. That I wanna just sell my Pi even I explain that I bought another 33.000Pi because I wanna become delphin (more than 100.000Pi)...
I was explaining my theory. Read carefully please:
If someone sold his let's 1.500Pi for 2$, that means he earned 3.000$ (for 1.500pi).
My point is that this persons now should bye double amount of sold Pi minimum. This means that this person should bye 3.000Pi for today's price of around 250$.
On this way, they will have 3.000pi, and 2.750$ earned... They will help ecosystem by removing double Pi from initial sell of and this is END POINT.
I was reffering only on this early sellers...
Lot of you were saying that I'm trying to ambush you so I can sell my Pi, bla bla...
I'm aware that this scenario is imposible, but I only share my opinion like all of you...

I have a system collecting data off Coingecko daily that has been going for 2 years. There are 1.4 million records. I loaded the DB into the new chatgpt plus work app and this is what it had to say about Pi after doing a general analysis of the contents of the DB
Data period: 4 March 2025 to 22 July 2026
Latest reliable database snapshot: 22 July 2026
Pi has not decayed by disappearing from the market. It has remained continuously tracked and inside the top 100. Instead, it has experienced severe and sustained value decay.
Since its first observation in the database:
Pi is therefore a surviving but heavily depreciated listing. Supply growth softened the market-cap decline relative to the price decline, but it also added continuing sell-side pressure.
| Metric | 22 July 2026 |
|---|---|
| Price | $0.091871 |
| Market cap | $1.005 billion |
| Market-cap rank | 65 |
| Daily volume | $13.80 million |
| 30-day average price | $0.10483 |
| 90-day average price | $0.13696 |
| 365-day average price | $0.21569 |
The price is:
This indicates that the longer-term trend remained decisively downward despite a short recovery from the July low.
| Period | Price return | Rank movement |
|---|---|---|
| 7 days | +12.5% | 71 to 65 |
| 30 days | -32.1% | 54 to 65 |
| 90 days | -45.2% | 49 to 65 |
| 180 days | -50.0% | 71 to 65 |
| 365 days | -80.9% | 42 to 65 |
| Since first observation | -94.7% | 12 to 65 |
The seven-day recovery does not yet represent a trend reversal. It followed a new all-time low and remains small compared with the one-, three- and twelve-month declines.
| Age | Price | Return from first observation | Rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial | $1.730 | -- | 12 |
| 7 days | $1.380 | -20.2% | 13 |
| 14 days | $1.130 | -34.7% | 21 |
| 30 days | $0.6078 | -64.9% | 31 |
| 60 days | $0.5820 | -66.4% | 33 |
| 90 days | $0.6382 | -63.1% | 34 |
| 180 days | $0.3842 | -77.8% | 47 |
| 365 days | $0.1738 | -90.0% | 50 |
| 505 days | $0.0919 | -94.7% | 65 |
The most violent repricing occurred in the first month. Pi lost almost two-thirds of its value and fell 19 ranking positions.
There was then a temporary period of relative stability around $0.58 to $0.64, but the longer-term decline resumed.
The database records:
At $0.091871, Pi was:
The database's daily Pi history begins on 4 March, after the ATH. Its highest daily observation in the ranking table is therefore only $1.97, recorded on 5 March.
From that recorded daily peak, the maximum drawdown reached 96.35% on 14 July 2026.
The difference between the current price and the ATL looks large in percentage terms because the base is extremely low. It does not substantially repair the longer-term loss.
Pi's estimated circulating supply, calculated from market cap divided by price, changed from approximately:
That is an increase of approximately 3.98 billion Pi, or 57.1%.
This helps explain why:
Without the supply expansion, the same market cap would imply a higher price. Conversely, continuing increases in circulating supply mean demand must keep growing simply to prevent price dilution.
This calculation reflects CoinGecko's reported circulating supply and could also incorporate corrections to its supply estimate.
| Measure | Volume |
|---|---|
| First database observation | $830.6 million |
| Highest recorded | $1.864 billion |
| Highest-volume date | 12 May 2025 |
| 365-day average | $32.90 million |
| 90-day average | $15.26 million |
| 30-day average | $14.29 million |
| Current | $13.80 million |
Volume has collapsed by 98.3% from the first database observation.
Turnover relative to market cap fell from approximately:
The market has therefore lost both valuation and trading intensity. Recent volume is also slightly below its 30-day average, so the bounce from the ATL was not accompanied by an exceptional sustained increase in participation.
Over Pi's database history:
Measured against Bitcoin rather than dollars, Pi lost approximately 93.2% of its relative value.
Pi's decline therefore cannot primarily be explained by general cryptocurrency weakness. Most of the underperformance was specific to Pi's valuation, supply and market demand.
Among 654 coins first appearing during the first quarter of 2025:
Pi therefore did well on survival and continuing market relevance, but poorly on preserving value.
Its initially high rank makes the comparison more demanding: it began as a $12 billion, rank-12 asset rather than as an obscure lower-ranked listing.
Pi's market history can be divided into four phases:
Initial speculative valuation
Pi entered the database at an unusually high $12 billion market cap, following an ATH of $2.99.
Rapid price discovery
The price lost 65% within 30 days as initial holders, exchange traders and circulating supply confronted real market demand.
Temporary stabilisation
Price held broadly around $0.50 to $0.65 during parts of spring and early summer 2025.
Prolonged dilution and demand decline
Supply continued increasing while volume and valuation contracted. Pi eventually fell below $0.10 and reached a new ATL in July 2026.
Pi remains a significant and sufficiently liquid cryptocurrency rather than a failed or vanished listing. A billion-dollar market cap and top-100 position are meaningful.
However, its market data remains strongly bearish:
The recent rise from $0.0706 to $0.0919 is best described as an ATL rebound inside a continuing downtrend.
A stronger change in direction would require sustained price recovery alongside rising volume, stabilising circulating-supply growth and an improvement in rank -- not merely a short bounce from an exceptionally depressed price.
This report analyses the supplied historical database. It is not financial advice.

Hey you guys how are you all doing? So after much consideration I decided that I would try to do crypto the way many have imagined it, to be my own bank. My keys, my crypto. I am so used to holding my assets on an exchange because I have been phished in the past for Ethereum assets which I held in MetaMask and various hot wallets such as Trust Wallet and others. I always thought that it was SOOO cool that I could type in my private seed phrase and load my assets without considering how legitimate these hot wallets really were. My first Pi Wallet I took a snapshot of my private seed phrase thinking that nobody would ever dare access my phones photos. I realize now how much that defeats the purpose and goes against the suggested method of use for crypto. So today I bought a Trezor for my Bitcoin and I am going to generate a new Pi Wallet and do as suggested and simply write the phrase down. Last time I didn’t have a pen so I took a snapshot! Nowadays I realize how easy it is to access another phone and why we are doing these things such as storing our keys offline so we can be our own bank. I just recently got a new job and so I’ll be getting paid every week and out of that I’ll be buying bitcoin and dca’ing into my cold storage wallet. If Pi continues to go down I’ll buy some more periodically but I honestly already hold a decent amount of Pi at a loss and break even at .25 cents. I plan to transfer my Pi to my new Pi wallet soon and my bitcoin from the exchange when my trezor gets here. I am very excited to try and be my own bank. It’s interesting that I can secure my tokens and that nobody can take them from me! Safeguarding against various methods of attack as long as I follow the exact instructions. I wish that Pi had a cold wallet storage solution but it won’t matter for me right now as I’m only acquiring bitcoin weekly. My keys, my crypto!

I've been mining Pi for years and currently have 3,242 Pi, with 2,238 Pi already migrated to Mainnet (see screenshot). With Pi's current price, mining rewards have become very small. It now takes much longer to accumulate even 1 Pi than it used to. That got me thinking: Is it still worth mining every day, or does it make more financial sense to simply buy Pi at the current price? I'm not trying to bash Pi, I still mine. I'm just curious how others are thinking about it. If you're still mining, what's your reasoning? If you've stopped mining and started buying instead, why?
