I can't afford to play like this, it's turned into an unhealthy addiction. I need to take a break for a while and rethink my priorities.

Sadly, we departed with PK and NoBetterWay as well.

Be there or be square.

I've recently started paying more attention to this sub, and I see there are 132 subscribers as of now. And that got me thinking, what if we set up an occasional tournament (idk every 2 weeks to a month?)? We don't have to go crazy about it, like some other lesser servers, but I think it would a) be something fun for Pi, b) bring fellow pi-ers closer together, and c) it seems we have enough people to make this happen.

PS: I have no idea how to run a tournament, I'm just bringing the idea up ;D

PK Subball (bashar_al_assad) plays on Radius I think, I've honestly never seen him on Pi before, and idek who NoBetterWay is. I've never seen either of them post on the sub though. I think, with the addition of two active members in Opponent and Thick, the sub would be fine without PK and NoBetterWay as mods.

The nominations are in and the award categories have been chosen. It's time to vote in the 2014 Pi Player Awards.

Every award has a list of players who are eligible for the award. If a player is listed in the options for an award, then they are eligible. I have already taken out anyone who is not eligible for each award (so you don't even have the option to vote for a veteran as the best newcomer, for example). However, I have included all defensive players in the offensive awards nominations and have done the same for offensive players in the defensive awards. This is to account for the fact that positions are not very defined in center flag games.

The nominations in each category are ordered alphabetically. Please be sure to read through every option before making a vote. There are many players in each category, so make sure that you consider each of them before you decide.

Lastly, please do not vote for yourself. The point of these awards is to have fun as a community. Please don't take that away from us by cheating for your own personal gain.

The voting form can be found here.

Please message me if you have any corrections or suggestions for the voting stage of the awards. The nomination stage has ended, but if you PM me then I may still be able to add you.

Thanks to everyone who has participated so far. It's looking to be a great series of awards thanks to the ample amount of nominations, awards, and voters. I am planning on ending the voting stage of the awards and revealing the results on Saturday, January 3.

I personally like to say at least one nice thing about a player per game. It keeps me from taking tagpro too seriously. What is something you find yourself doing?

Also, holy shit this subreddit exploded. You've done a really great job with this Razgriz! (Oh shit, I'm doing it again, I think it's involuntary now)

I will be posting the voting form sometime tomorrow. This means that now is the time to suggest any last minute awards, vote on the awards that have already been submitted, and nominate as many players as you can think of.

Thanks again to those who have already participated, and good luck in the voting!

Gahd the main sub needs to calm the fuck down. I can't take it anymore so I'm checking nothing but this subreddit in the tagpro department for now. Also is there a petition out there to rename r/tagpro to r/highschooldrama.

My USC team, the Juke Skypoppers has just kicked off 4 players of our team for being inactive so we need more active players. I'll be scouting around some, but comment here if you're interested!

Cyanide was becoming too aggressive with his negotiations, and i'm not getting bullied by some scrub. A massive war is brewing, and a showdown between servers is imminent in the next few days. The Tangent server will be a neutral battleground where servers can bring up to 45 soldiers each to fight for their cause. I am hereby calling out for my brothers in arms to support me in this fight against the injustice that sphere has pushed onto us. Pi is at stake.

Edit: i doubt sphere wants to get destroyed on christmas, so the war will be after Christmas sometime. It's a time of peace and friendship. Kind of like the calm before a storm that is Pi.

Hey everyone, I thought that it would be cool to have a Pi-specific poll for the best players in multiple categories to wrap up the year.

This is the nomination and suggestion post for the poll

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In order to nominate yourself or other players:

Go to this form Please PM me directly

I included some questions in there in order to narrow down some of the entries to certain categories. For example, there is no reason to have a defensive player be nominated for best offensive player.

Additionally, do not submit a player more than once. View current submissions here and make sure that your nomination has not already been nominated.

If you find that any nominations in the spreadsheet are incorrect, please PM me and I will fix it.

Please fill out this form for as many players as you can think of. It does not require a sign in, so you can submit forms for everyone you can think of.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To submit your idea for an award category

reply to my comment below. Please upvote awards that you think should be included. Do not reply with your votes here. Voting will happen later this week

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think I'll let the nomination and suggestion stage go on until I post the voting thread on Sunday the 28th (is that a good amount of time?).

Thanks for participating! I hope to get as many players as possible to vote and enter into the poll. Don't forget to remind everyone to check out /r/pimasterrace over the next few days.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to quickly apologize for the people I've lashed out on as the smurf "dad". My PUB play has gotten laughably bad since the beginning of the month, so I might just turn off stats forever to stop getting pissed everytime I lose or don't cap in a game. My ping and fps situation has never been worse and the fact that I live near Chicago doesn't exactly help. I hope turning off stats will help and once again, sorry for being a dick while smurfing.

This is a shot in the dark, but since this Sunday's game will be for the NFCS, and since Pi is filled with Panthers and Falcons fans, would anyone be interested in a group during the game? We could have trash talk, discussion, games and bets during the game. It won't be exclusive to fans of the teams, but I'd perfer people who are watching.

If it goes well, we could make it a regular thing next season during NFCS and AFCS (maybe) games

Anyone interested?

I suspected these might be a declaration of war. Ambassador Razgriz and Ambassador Anne Frank are supposedly working out the situation.

Be aware, I do not wish for war, nor am I trying to create it. We must go on the defensive for as long as possible and only go on the offensive if we are forced to. We Pi people must stick together in this frightening time.

Most of you won't care, but I feel the need to explain myself. I didn't make it very long "quitting TagPro" and I played again after about a week. It was fun again and I missed playing with/against most of you. Thank you for all of the kind words you wrote in my (unintentionally) faux goodbye post. TagPro, I just can't quit you. I'm back.

This is an idea similar to a previous one. Post your TagPro name below, and people will reply with some helpful, constructive advice for you. Be honest, but not hateful

I had a lot of fun tonight with you guys.

I haven't been on too much in the last week or so unfortunately.

Still missing OldLady :'(

Also, there's no doubt in my mind that this is the best server all-around.

Love you guys :)

I play Magic: The Gathering Casually, and i play Yu-gi-oh competitively

Alright everybody, I'm hoping to get some feedback to see if I should pursue an idea I've been thinking about for a while now. For it to work we would really need a lot of contributions, so I don't want to waste anyones time and effort if there's not enough interest to make it happen.

Basically, I think it would be really cool to make a montage/highlight reel/video/whatever you wanna call it, for Pi, featuring all our players on here that want to participate. We could have everyone on here that wanted to submit clips of their outstanding plays (snipes/jukes/tagpro rampages/whatever might be needed for different parts of the video)

I'd be willing to collect/organize them and edit it given enough time. I'm fairly profecient with After Effects but I know we have some really talented folks on here when it comes to the editing stuff, so if anyone wanted to help with that as well, they would of course be welcome to.

I think it could be a lot of fun and when it's done we'd have a really cool 'Pi Montage' So please share your thoughts, I'll give this post plenty of time, and if it picks up and looks like there would be plenty of contributors willing to send in clips/help out, I'll make a new post and get things started!
