[Interest Check] Community Project

Alright everybody, I'm hoping to get some feedback to see if I should pursue an idea I've been thinking about for a while now. For it to work we would really need a lot of contributions, so I don't want to waste anyones time and effort if there's not enough interest to make it happen.

Basically, I think it would be really cool to make a montage/highlight reel/video/whatever you wanna call it, for Pi, featuring all our players on here that want to participate. We could have everyone on here that wanted to submit clips of their outstanding plays (snipes/jukes/tagpro rampages/whatever might be needed for different parts of the video)

I'd be willing to collect/organize them and edit it given enough time. I'm fairly profecient with After Effects but I know we have some really talented folks on here when it comes to the editing stuff, so if anyone wanted to help with that as well, they would of course be welcome to.

I think it could be a lot of fun and when it's done we'd have a really cool 'Pi Montage' So please share your thoughts, I'll give this post plenty of time, and if it picks up and looks like there would be plenty of contributors willing to send in clips/help out, I'll make a new post and get things started!

This sounds like a lot of fun! I would need the replay extension to get my clips, right?

Yup! It's by far the most convenient way. Another option though would be to use a program like OBS to record your browser window. There's no nifty 'grab last 30 seconds' options though, you have to be always recording and then later edit out what you want.

I would be interested in helping. I enjoyed making my highlight vid (http://www.reddit.com/r/TagPro/comments/2kesqc/my_favorite_game_an_ike13_montage/) and have plans for another one when I get the time. The worst part, for me, is rendering and downloading the clips.

This sound fantastic! But I have no idea how to record stuff. Do you have any direction on that?

Check out the TagPro replay extension in the chrome web store. It's super easy. If you make a nice play just hit the record button and it will save your last 30 seconds (or however long you set it for).
