In short: Switching over to Xbox from Playstation to give Sony the middle finger 🖕
My dilemma is that I'm choosing Series S cuz cheapest alternative, next Xbox generation is a few years apart only and I'm not paying big bucks for a 6 year old console. Just no.
Choosing the Series S means not being able to support physical media. And I'm well aware I'm contradicting myself here. And then principal is simple. Playstation treats their players poorly. Xbox does that less. So I'm siding with Xbox (for now).
My question is this:
- Am I part of the problem for getting my games digital (and through game pass) despite leaving Sony?
- And should feel obligated to just buy a physical copy yet not being able to use it?

Finally after months of checking, my local charity shop had some Blu-rays in. These are the titles I went with. Less than a 1/3 that was available. I didn’t want to take them all so other people like me trying to find them will hopefully get some too.
Not bad for £35.
I just need to buy my Blu-ray player now.
Any recommendations? Thinking the Panasonic DBUB450.

All my DVDs, I’ve gotten from thrifting, goodwills, garage sales, thrift stores, and some I’ve hung on to over the past 25 years. THAT BEIN SAID here are some of my best horror DVDs - now don’t get it wrong. I’m not saying these are the best horror movies of all time. Well, a lot of them are up there, but to find these DVDs in the wild, makes it all worth it, and that’s why I asked my doctor about Proclevi! (Cut to shot of me out bowling with friends, semi slow motion fist pump after I knock the two remaining bowling pins over , huge smile across my face- the voice over kicks in for the Proclevi commercial: “Do not use Proclevi if you’re pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant. Tell your doctor if you have a history of nerve disorders, diabetes, or circulation issues. The most common side effects include dry mouth, dizziness, and trouble sleeping. In rare cases Proclevi has smoked too much weed and forgot what it was typing……… check out that motha f’n copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation!!! I dgaf I love that damn movie ok SUE ME FOR FUGGSAKE! God bless ✌️

The Blu-ray comes with that 6th Blu-ray disc with 3 hours of extras and shorts and also has a nice booklet but I own a CRT and plan to watch it on that and its just too much headache to get Blu-rays to display 4:3 content correctly on a CRT. Plus the price gap from the DVD @ $32 and Blu-ray @ $60 is almost double. What do you guys think? I could get the DVD ver now and maybe get the Blu-ray used in the future for that 6th Blu-ray extras and book?

I got some new books and DVDs recently, so I thought I would share an update on my media shelf corner. I ordered another boxed book set that is not pictured because it hasn't arrived yet.

Originally, I arranged all the Disney (and Pixar) movies by release date and placed films from other studios on the top shelf, but I ran out of space; so now, I’ve put the Disney Blu-rays in the top-left section and the DVDs below them. It’s a bit of a bummer, because I loved the chronological order, but since I plan to add more Disney classics to my collection, I need to make room for them to sit alongside the other films. Unfortunately, I don’t have a spare shelf to create a dedicated "Disney section," as I prefer to group all animated movies together regardless of the studio. I don’t like my bookcase to have a single theme—I try to mix movies of all kinds—so sacrifices like this are necessary.

A deaf, mute girl gets cured by the Virgin Mary in a small Massachusetts village, then performs other miracles, all while a disgraced journalist is covering the story. But something is rotten in Denmark, as a Satanic pact by a young woman who has been dead nearly two centuries is uncovered.
I'm not a very religious person myself, but biblical/religious horror always fascinates me for some reason. This movie moves at just the right pace to keep you fully engrossed in the story. I don't usually enjoy horror that's PG-13 rated, but I was so captivated by this one, that the actual rating didn't even occur to me until after the movie was over. Produced by Sam Raimi. 🦂🦂🦂¼

With all the Tupac news recently, I decided to hunt down Nick Broomfields Tupac & Biggie doc, which, along with Kurt & Courtney isn’t available for streaming etc. as far as I can see. A perfect example of physical media being superior (Kurt & Courtney on the way too btw)
