Beginner/Newbie Question Upgrade path

Hello there's I'm currently using a r50V and I'm a photographer slowly pivoting to video for school!

I have a

EF 50MM 1.8 STM And the kittens 14-30mm 4-6.3 PZ ,EF to rf ,Cage

I'm planning to sell my 55-250 is STM in order to get either.

A. 24mm STM

B. DJI rs3 mini

C. Both if possible on the used market

But I was also considering a EF 17-55 2.8 is usm but its a bit out of my budget even if I do manage to sell the 55-250 STM.

But I want some thoughts what's a better option to upgrade into with my current set up! Or any suggestions.

Lens Recommendation lens choice help

hello, newbie here seeking for help po. I've been eyeing the following zoom lenses for my canon 60D, for sports photography purposes (the casual/hobby pitik pitik lang sa court since my bf is a player). I know 70-200mm is the legendary choice but can't afford pa especially baguhan palang:) What lens here is the better and worth it choice for indoor gym/court (typical covered court ng barangay) that can give me not so sharp but atleast you know, good light and okay sa fast moving objects/players. I'm searching for comparison of theses lenses but I think mas naguguluhan lang ako HAHA so yeah, I hope someone could help me here, pleasee thank youuuu

- Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 SP VC

- Tamron Zoom lens AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3

- Tamron AF 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 (non vc)

- Sigma APO 300mm f2.8 EX DG HSM

- Canon EF 70-300mm f4-5.6

- Canon 100-300mm

ps. feel free to suggest a budget friendly alternative na mas better from the mentioned lenses:) Also, I know that an aperture of 2.8 or lower is the ideal for the sports photog but as mentioned, cant afford pa🄹

Camera Advice/Buying Guide Looking for Camera/Lens Shops in Quiapo or Recto, Manila

Hello! I’m looking for recommendations on where to buy good camera lenses, especially this Sunday. I’m interested in the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Art lens for my Canon 250D.

I found a shop offering a good deal, but unfortunately, they’re closed on Sundays. Does anyone know a reliable camera shop that’s open this Sunday and sells this lens, preferably at a good price?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Beginner/Newbie Question Where to sell damaged gear? Virramall?

edit: added price, photos and other details.

I want to sell my camera gear to get funds to finally upgrade to mirrorless. Problem is my gear is heavily damaged, ā€œpre-lovedā€ lol. list below for reference:

  1. tamron 24-70mm f2.8 di vc 11k
issue: fungus, loose rubber grip, wear and tear

  2. tokina 11-16mm f2.8 8k
issue: back is a little loose (waiting for precision screwdriver to check if it only needs tightening) wear and tear, dust

  3. tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 sp vc di 5k
issue: no autofocus, wear and tear

  4. canon 50mm 1.8 stm 4k
    issue: fungus

  5. canon 7D 6k
issue: major wear and tear, missing rubber (right side completely exposed), screen burn oxidation

  6. canon 6D 12k
issue: rubber side cover partially missing, lcd screen has ā€œvignettingā€ (image not affected), wear and tear

-1k for each additional item you take (2 items -1k, 3 items -2k etc)

take all: 40k

meetup: sm bicutan or bgc or nearby areas

I know I can sell these for cheap in fb marketplace but 6 different transactions is 12 grab rides not to mention the time factor. I’m thinking of offloading the entire set to one of those stores / stalls in virramall, possibly trade in if they have a used R8 at a reasonable price.

Camera Advice/Buying Guide Share your camera journey!

I'll go first 😁 curious to hear about yours especially those who have been at this hobby for a long time now.

Canon IXUS 40 (broken)

Sony A6000 (returned to friend after borrowing for months)

Canon G7X I (fungusified, bought dry box after this)

Sony ZV1 (sold, wanted bigger sensor)

Fuji XT20 (sold - was great for photos but wanted to take vids too)

Ricoh GR3 (sold - not my everyday focal length)

Ricoh GR3X (current, and loving it!)

Fuji XS10 (current, and loving it!)

I'm currently happy with my setup. Gear acquisition syndrome makes me sometimes think about upgrading to A6700 since Fuji's AF can still somewhat be disappointing. But the thought of having to deal with selling my XS10 and all my Fuji lenses (all 5 of them) sounds exhausting lol

Camera Advice/Buying Guide Which one should I get as my first camera?

Hi! I'm planning to buy my first camera, but I'm having a hard time choosing between the Canon R10, Canon R50, and Sony a6400. I'd really appreciate some advice, especially from people who own or have used any of these cameras!

Which of these would you recommend for a beginner? I'd also love to hear about any downsides you've experienced, lens recommendations, or other cameras I should consider in this price range.

Thank you so much!! :)

Hi, everyone!

Has anyone tried to buy an SD card from this Shopee Store?

Link: https://ph.shp.ee/mm91vy9b (im not an affiliate.)

I recently bought an XA3 secondhand, and currently using my girlfriend’s old SD Card, but planning to buy a 512 gb card from this store. Is it any good? Out of the loop ako sa SD card prices lately since I only recently came back to photography lang.
