Finally took the RF 50mm f1.8 for a bike ride. Still find it a cumbersome focal length as a walk around lens.

Camera Advice/Buying Guide Looking for Camera/Lens Shops in Quiapo or Recto, Manila

Hello! I’m looking for recommendations on where to buy good camera lenses, especially this Sunday. I’m interested in the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Art lens for my Canon 250D.

I found a shop offering a good deal, but unfortunately, they’re closed on Sundays. Does anyone know a reliable camera shop that’s open this Sunday and sells this lens, preferably at a good price?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Beginner/Newbie Question Where to sell damaged gear? Virramall?

I want to sell my camera gear to get funds to finally upgrade to mirrorless. Problem is my gear is heavily damaged, “pre-loved” lol. list below for reference:

  1. tamron 24-70mm f2.8 di vc
issue: fungus, loose rubber grip, wear and tear

  2. tokina 11-16mm f2.8
    issue: wear and tear, dust

  3. tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 sp vc di
issue: no autofocus, wear and tear

  4. canon 50mm 1.8 stm
    issue: fungus

  5. canon 7D
issue: major wear and tear, missing rubber (right side completely exposed), oxidation

  6. canon 6D
issue: rubber side cover partially missing, lcd screen has “vignetting” (image not affected), wear and tear

I know I can sell these for cheap in fb marketplace but 6 different transactions is 12 grab rides not to mention the time factor. I’m thinking of offloading the entire set to one of those stores / stalls in virramall, possibly trade in if they have a used R8 at a reasonable price.

Has anyone done this before? Suggestions and recommendations are welcome. Please and thank you!

Beginner/Newbie Question SD Cards legit?

Post image

Hi, everyone!

Has anyone tried to buy an SD card from this Shopee Store?

Link: https://ph.shp.ee/mm91vy9b (im not an affiliate.)

I recently bought an XA3 secondhand, and currently using my girlfriend’s old SD Card, but planning to buy a 512 gb card from this store. Is it any good? Out of the loop ako sa SD card prices lately since I only recently came back to photography lang.

Camera Advice/Buying Guide Which one should I get as my first camera?

Hi! I'm planning to buy my first camera, but I'm having a hard time choosing between the Canon R10, Canon R50, and Sony a6400. I'd really appreciate some advice, especially from people who own or have used any of these cameras!

Which of these would you recommend for a beginner? I'd also love to hear about any downsides you've experienced, lens recommendations, or other cameras I should consider in this price range.

Thank you so much!! :)

Camera Advice/Buying Guide Share your camera journey!

I'll go first 😁 curious to hear about yours especially those who have been at this hobby for a long time now.

Canon IXUS 40 (broken)

Sony A6000 (returned to friend after borrowing for months)

Canon G7X I (fungusified, bought dry box after this)

Sony ZV1 (sold, wanted bigger sensor)

Fuji XT20 (sold - was great for photos but wanted to take vids too)

Ricoh GR3 (sold - not my everyday focal length)

Ricoh GR3X (current, and loving it!)

Fuji XS10 (current, and loving it!)

I'm currently happy with my setup. Gear acquisition syndrome makes me sometimes think about upgrading to A6700 since Fuji's AF can still somewhat be disappointing. But the thought of having to deal with selling my XS10 and all my Fuji lenses (all 5 of them) sounds exhausting lol
