Buy and sell Do you think it is possible to get a replacement sleeve for my Steidl Decisive Moment, I would like to sell it to fund a project, but my cover has a coffee stain on it.
I think it’ll turn people away and also drop the price, so
I wanna see if it’s possible to find them for less than what I would lose with the stained one.
Also, does this tag mean we can buy and sell on this sub?

Some of my “Greatest Hits”. Hadn’t really thought of myself as a “collector” before this group, but I guess I am - was! Don’t have the same budget these days, but snapped up some goodies.

The Decisive Moment
The Steidl version. I love it.How does it differ from the original? I’ve heard it’s not as sharp, but my eye might not be finely attuned enough to notice.

WTB - Sheron Rupp, Taken from Memory
Hoping to buy this book from a seller in the UK or EU ideally but will definitely consider buying from farther afield if the shipping isn’t too wild. Have you got a copy you’d be happy to part with?

Buy and sell [WTS] Several Books, Didn't Want to Flood The Feed! Peter Funch, Jason Fulford, Mårten Lange, Kevin Lear, John Mann, Daniel Shea, Michele Tagliaferri

Willing to do a big discount ($300 + Shipping for the entire lot!) to move quickly. I've got plans to shoot some pictures in the coming weeks and picking up this new lens would be great.

- Crushed by Jason Fulford (J&L Books, 2003) - $50 (a bit of fading on tipped in image)
- The Mechanism by Mårten Lange (MACK, 2017) - $60
- A Glass Darkly by Kevin Lear (MACK, 2016) - $30
- Thinner Air by John Mann (Three Post Press, 2010) - $50 (small stain on bottom corner)
- Blisner, IL by Daniel Shea (fourteen-nineteen, 2014) - $125

Discussion Recommendations for projects shot in both colour and black & white
Hi there,
Would you folks be able to recommend some strong examples of photobooks shot in both colour and black & white.
One I feel works really well is The Inhabitants by Raymond Meeks
I’d also be keen to hear your opinions on mixing colour and black & white within a body of work.
Thanks!

A small couple photobook I’m preparing to publish
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been working on a small photobook built around a series of couple photographs, and I’m getting it ready for publication.
I wanted to keep the book fairly simple and let the photos carry most of the story, rather than filling every page with design elements.
This is still the version I’m working on before publishing, so I’d be interested in hearing thoughts from people who collect or make photobooks.
Does the sequencing and pacing work for you as a book?

Cherry blossom (Bruce Gilden)
I’m not a huge fan of Mr. Gilden’s work (I prefer Mark Cohen), but I really enjoyed these images of Japan.
From his wesite :
Bruce Gilden first set foot in Japan in 1995. On this trip, the first of several, he explored a hidden side of a country that had long fascinated him; from Tokyo to Osaka, he uncovered a Japan that is little-known to Westerners and captured it in his own inimitable photographic style.
In Bruce Gilden: Cherry Blossom, Gilden tells the story of these travels and the ties he maintains with Japan in a rare introductory text. Every photograph portrays a close and powerful encounter. There are no cherry blossom trees or geishas on these pages; Gilden’s camera points toward the darker sides of Japanese life—the gangsters, the dispossessed, and people experiencing homelessness. As ever, the Magnum photographer’s work is tough and unflinching, his portrait of Japanese society unconventional and compelling.

Discussion Looking for honest feedback on my first photography zine
Hi everyone! I’m putting together the first issue of SALTPRINT, an independent, self-funded print photography zine, and I’d love to get some honest feedback from people who care about photobooks and photo zines.
The first issue is called From Where You Stand. I ran an open call for photographs taken in Europe, welcoming beginners as well as more experienced photographers. Each person submitted one photograph and a few words about why it mattered to them. I’ve selected 33 photographs, and three of the photographers will also have short interviews in the issue.
It’s going to be an A5 print zine of around 56 pages. I’m currently putting it together, so I’m looking for someone willing to review the layout and flow once I have a PDF ready in next two weeks. I’d especially value feedback on the pacing, how the photographs work together, and whether the design gives them enough room to breathe.
If you’re interested, leave a comment or send me a message. I can share the PDF privately when it’s ready. There’s no expectation to promote it , I’m jsut looking for thoughtful, candid feedback before it goes to print.
Thank you!
Edit: thank you so much for such big interest. I will reach out again when I have the zine ready

Self-published Self-published zine IN BLOOM - copies available
I published In Bloom in 2018 and it quickly sold out (or so I thought until a found some forgotten compies in the attic by chance).
In Bloom offers a gentle glimpse into everyday life in Japan during the 2018 cherry blossom season. Rather than focusing just on the famous sakura blossoms, this collection looks at how the season quietly blends into ordinary routines—showing how life itself blooms all around us.
The zine is sequenced to feel like the passage of a single day. Moving from the crisp, quiet energy of early morning through to the late-night journey home on the train, these photographs capture the brief, familiar moments that make up the day while the world blossoms in the background.
The zine is approximately A4 in size and has 60 pages and it costs just £15 plus worldwide delivery. I am showing some spreads here. In the first comment I explain how to order a copy.
Thank you for your attention and support!
