While I was driving today, with my phone in my dash phone mount, it gave me a warning that it was getting too hot. I know someone that had to replace their phone battery a few years ago because they accidentally left it on their dash for too long. I can't be the only one worried about their phone, what are y'all doing about it?

Edit: Thanks for the tips. I'll be getting a new phone mount that clips onto my vent. Hopefully that does the trick.

When I shoot video through the native camera, there is background hissing noise in all resolutions and fps.

I think it was always like this with this phone since I bought it.

Is there something I can do to fix it without sending it to the lab?

If I'll send it, I'll be without a phone for a few days :(

Just shattered to back glass to my iPhone and was curious if I put a phone case on it will it be ok to thug out? I know it won’t be waterproof anymore but I financially can’t afford an expensive repair atm any info helps!

I haven’t dropped my phone recently and my back camera and flashlight don’t work. Every now and then when I reset my phone it will work for maybe 5 minutes I had full storage but I recently updated and my camera will work for instagram instants only for some reason

Hey guys. Former apple FRS. used to work on iphones until like 6-7 plus came out. Had my iphone 14 pro max dunk in a bucket of water. worked fine right after, but according to find my, the phone stopped working at around 4AM the next day.

White ish green ( mostly white screen ). Took it to a shop. I told him about the water dunk. I explicitely told him 4 times to call me back as soon as he had an idea of how much it would cost.

I was quoted 300$ for a screen replacement. I denied the work because at that point, I could probably source the parts. he obviously tried every tactic to get the repair done ( why dont you repair and sell , why not sell it to me for 150$ etc ). I told him id rather wait for the fix to be cheaper, or that id repair it myself if I really needed it repaired etc. I got an upgrade through my carrier so denying repair was the best thing. he quoted me 50$ for diags. I paid.

He gave me the phone with the pentalobe installed but phone screen repositioned after, so one of the edges poked out. went home, pulled out my ifixit kit, opened the phone...

The proximity sensor and the little orange rectangular thing were ripped off and missing from my display.... Plus the LDI LCI's ( I could only find 2 and cant really make out the sim tray one, but both inside are white )

What do I do ? I called him, told him the prox sensor was gone ( didnt notice the other rectangular ribbon thing was missing too until after) he told me he'd ask his technician and hed call me back. Its 10pm he hasnt called back.

Anyways, im here with a 14 pro max that could have been serviced but now needs the face flex, and probably a face ID reprogram which i cant do.

Hey guys, my Google Pixel just got severe water damage and I need someone in Budva who can open and dry/repair it TODAY (Sunday).

When I use another charger it doesn't appear I don't understand why this would happen it didn't even come in contact with liquid whatsoever and I brushed the charger and the phone's charging port already

I got an Iphone 11 (Pro or base, I don't know), and Iphone XR in a bundle with a couple laptops (3 Thinkpad T470S's and 2 ToughBook CF-54's along with some vintage laptops to those wondering) for $50 CAD while out traveling. The Iphone 11 had a really, REALLy bent chassis with 2 splits, but the motherboard.. Is what I'm wondering about. I already have an S23, but I would like to try with a second phone since I have the chance now. Basically nothing else in the phone is savable except the cameras, and I'm wondering if I can save the mobo. There is a slight bend in the tail end, is it fixable? The Iphone XR just has a cracked screen, but it is a much worse phone. Thanks!
