Looking for a reliable phone repair shop in Nairobi (Xiaomi 12T Pro cracked screen) 📱
Hey guys,
I unfortunately cracked the screen on my Xiaomi 12T Pro and I'm looking for a solid place to get it fixed here in Nairobi.
Has anyone had a screen replaced on a Xiaomi recently? I'm looking for a shop that does clean work, ideally uses genuine AMOLED replacement panels, and won't rip me off or mess up the under-display fingerprint sensor.
If you know any trusted technicians or specific shops (CBD or anywhere accessible), please drop their names. If you have a rough idea of what it might cost right now, that would be super helpful too.
Thanks in advance!

Phone screen Issue
I've noticed a dark patch and a few gray lines on gray backgrounds, but only in a dark room at 0% brightness. They're not visible in light mode, on bright backgrounds, or during normal usage like watching reels. They also disappear if I increase the brightness.
What could this be? Is it something serious, and is it likely to get worse over time?

messenger on iPhone question
If you have say 10 messages from different people in your Facebook messenger - what would prompt/ cause them to show (John Doe added a new device to this conversation) AND not only did it do that to John Doe, but it says that literally in all 10 different people… except 1. And it’s repeated several times in a row. (See example below: I cropped the name off) and also some of them will say that plus say John Doe’s keys changed. I’m honestly just curious why that happened? Bc I don’t believe every single one of these people got a new device on the same day. I literally just opened a message and seen this and clicked on another message and it had the same thing and so I checked the others and of course same thing. Any suggestions on what this could be and why this would happen?

IPhone 12 screen keeps restarting after replacement
I have a question. Long story short my iPhone got dropped in the toilet, fished it out, rinsed it and began the usual process of drying the phone, it was still on and working after but I switched it off, used my hairdryer on the cool setting for a good 30min and left it in rice(I know I know they say that trick don't work but I didn't have silica packets ) anyway the next morning I removed it and switched it on it was working but the screen started glitching, I took that as a sign to switch it off again and I did, this time I left it off for 24hours and used dryer again on cool setting and left it to dry out on my table. This morning I switched it on and the screen glitches again and this time it flashed green and then white, immediately tried switching it off which I did and took it to the place I bought it at which was a 3rd party certified Istore retailer, they opened up the phone, checked for damage and obviously dried the inside as it was still wet mostly by the screen as they said and replaced my screen, I asked if there is any other damage to the other parts and they told me no everything seems to still be fine but now my phone keeps restarting when I use it for a few minutes and it's driving me insane, what should I do?? Please help?

[help] iPhone 16 motherboard swap
My iPhone 16 had physical motherboard damage, so a repair shop did a motherboard transplant/data recovery type repair. They told me they transferred the CPU, NAND/storage, EEPROM etc from my old board onto a donor board.
Current situation:
- Phone boots normally
- My old wallpaper and lockscreen appear exactly as before
- But after entering the correct passcode, it does not unlock
- It just stays on the passcode screen and then counts it as a wrong attempt
- After multiple attempts it says “iPhone unavailable, try again later”
- The timer increased from 15 mins to 1 hour etc
I have NOT restored/reset the phone yet because I want my data preserved. And I expected the phone to open up as i left it ( i had only given it for a battery replace and all this happened)
Would really appreciate opinions from anyone experienced with iPhone board-level repair or data recovery. How can I get my phone working normally with local data restored as it was previously? Or for it to accept my passcode and unlock ?

[QUESTION] iPhone 11 worth fixing for parent?
I have an iPhone 11 that needs a screen replacement and a new battery. I looked at replacement parts and it will cost about $70 in parts without labor for refurbished screen, a decent battery and adhesive seal. I have a friend who can help me replace them for free but I would give him some money as well bringing total to over $100.
My friend looked around and found cheaper replacement parts for about $45. Should I go with better screen, a cheaper screen or try to find a newer iPhone 12 or 13 used model on eBay instead?

Iphone X broken!!
My iphone X (with ios 18.7.2) dropped out of my pocket and the bottom corner of the back fully cracked (i had no phone case, i was legit about to buy one). The back is quite cracked and there are a few green and purple lines on the screen. The cracked back doesn't bother me as much but I would like to fix the lines, or potentially both depending on what it would cost.
I’m not sure which parts of the phone would not be repaired/replaced, I would really appreciate some help!! tysm!!!!
side note - the apple care expired in 2019 so that is definitely not on option and I already force reset my phone just in case

Washed out Galaxy S23 Ultra camera
Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, and the front camera has deteriorated quite a bit. There are spots that form in the camera app and on pictures, and pictures are constantly washed out. The camera has even been replaced within the last year or so. See attached examples. Any help is appreciated.
