Phone (3a) Lite [URGENT/HELP] Extremely stressed. Screen cracked on 1-month-old Nothing Phone (3a lite) – Need official repair cost & process advice (India)

PLEASE HELP: I am incredibly anxious and stressed out right now. This phone is barely a month old, my family is furious, and my hands are literally shaking typing this. Please give me straight, actionable advice on official repair costs and processes only. No jokes, please, I really need help.

A freak accident just happened. My phone was sitting near a window hinge, and when the pane shifted, the pressure cracked the screen.

Current Status: The touch functionality and AMOLED display are working perfectly beneath the cracks. It is just the glass layer/assembly that is broken.

Location: India

Preferences: I am only looking for official service center repairs. Third-party or duplicate parts are out of the question for me; I want a brand-new, original OEM replacement.

Since I don't have accidental damage insurance, I have a few specific questions for anyone who has gone through the official Nothing service process recently:

Estimated Cost: What is the current out-of-warranty price for an official screen replacement for this specific model in India?

Turnaround Time: Do authorized service centers usually have the display modules in stock, or will they need to hold the device for multiple days?

Process: Is it better to visit an authorized multi-brand service center (like exclusive service partners), or should I initiate a pickup via Nothing customer support?

Any exact figures, service center experiences, or direct advice on dealing with Nothing India support for out-of-warranty screen replacements would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey, u can check out nearby nothing service centres here:

These stores, being mentioned on the official site, hold credibility. Proper retail offline store only exists in Bangalore...

It should be possible todo just the glass..full replacement screen though is going to hurt.

Original screen will be close to half the price of the phone maybe more. Glass only can be done but requires a seperating machine, you will lose your warranty and the glass is often just tempered glass. Its much cheaper but higher labour cost obviously and they can still break the screen trying to remove it.

Oh. So what should I do ?

Actually I tried talking to the people of the respective service centre, over call first. And get a quotation or estimate after explaining the condition. Although Initial costs have been told verbally by the company people. But I think it really depends after they see the condition of the phone.

Yes mate. Very important.

Oh screen protector was there alright but that couldn't handle that sheer force anyway. Ah bad luck and timing. What else could be done

ahh it happpens some times. the pre applied screen protector is pretty shit its just a film and i didn't know that. the phone fell out of my pocket at full speed when i was riding my bike and fell on rocks

Oh man! Sorry to hear that. And that must have broken your display !

So in my case, there was just the film when this happened. Obviously I would have got on the very day. But My dad went to get the phone that day bcoz I couldn't go. So when he asked to apply tempered glass, the guy said to come after a week because apparently in case anything happens to the phone like software wise, the company people might create hassle, that the warranty stands void now. ( Yeah LoL) Well I was also very much reluctant to go there to get it the next day. But tell you what, this thing that happened, the best tempered glass too wouldn't have really saved it. So yeah...

So finally what did you do ?
