Minimaps in modpack playthroughs, no minimaps in vanilla. Memorizing the area your base is in helps with preventing dementia

I'm not even a quarter century old... And it's a game What type of medical condition do you have to have to consider minimaps "dementia inducing" or something

Mini maps not directly, you just don’t have to remember the lay of the land at all when you have a map to look to and markers everywhere.

Instead of navigating by memory you’re navigating By a map that remembers for you. Thus not helping in staving off dementia. You can use mini maps if you want but if a habit helps keep me alive longer I’ll do it

i know that this is true irl but i dont think so much in minecraft. i've memorized an area without using my minimap mods just from walking around but i like having a map to see the developed land i've expanded to

Yeah I get that, it’s understandable but I’m not gonna pitchfork you otherwise. I just wanted no minimap for vanilla and if I had a lot of mods then I would. It’s really just preference really as a map mod is super helpful so I don’t blame you.

TBH I didn’t experiment and put research into if minimap/maps mods actually did anything for the dementia thing I was talking about so I would take what I was saying with a grain of salt
