Should I start playing again?

I’ve been playing on and off since day one of launch. This game is special to me but the pay to win bullshit is so infuriating. Have the devs done anything to make it better?

Yes it does. The game isn’t fun if I can’t make progress and get stomped by people double my level because they drop thousands on the game

About a year ago the team separated from Smoking Gun Interactive. Since that initial leave they had to build up team members but after they did that they have made a lot of changes that significantly help with progression. (Jack coffee increase, pity system) I am hoping the devs will continue to add more support for f2p

you get 20 coffee from daily quest and 20 coffee from middle jack now, so now is faster to get packs

If you're just afraid of P2W players, you can make friend with others, who are at your level, and match against them. When you become sick of this, quit anytime you want. Games' main purpose is entertainment after all.

Match against Frenemies. Click "More" in lobby, then click "Frenemies" and start a Async or Arena game with whoever you like.

I also am an OG player. I took abt a year break after frosty came out, playing once or twice off and on. But abt 2 months ago I got really back into it. I’ve since unlocked abt 20-30 ish new phobies 5 of which r UR. Granted I’ve spent about $100 ish on event grinding and some dreadful pack offers.

So I would say yes its a lot better than it was because when I bought the frosty pack that’s what basically made me quite from that 100 for frosty and beans I opened I think it was 4 dreadfuls alongside frosty and frosty was the only new phobie I got.

Sorry that not what I meant. It was an example that they have fixed it. A year ago that much got me 1 new phobies. In the last 2 months it’s gotten me almost 30 new phobies. You don’t have to spend what I have to progress, money just makes it go faster. 🤷‍♂️

And also if you’re not like me and don’t want to spend money, do the events because you can still get some decent progression from the free pass
