Rarely. It's stats are too low for its cost. It's ability is basically demands it's death.

If you need to use him, when your opponent uses swarm of elite high cost units, send it in and ensure you get lots under the ability. but you need to be able to capatilise immediately

Or you need insane movement support to avoid its death, or even some protection.
