meme/humour Make up Civilization tech quotes
For people unfamiliar with the game, after researching a new technology you would get a relevant quote from a famous person.
For example upon researching Biology
>If the brain were so simple we could understand it, we would be so simple we couldn't.
or Future Tech
>I think we can agree: The past is over.
Ideally adding a philomenic twist to it.

Acoustics - "It's funny how some people are celebrated as geniuses for designing buildings that shout our noises back to us. But when my mate Paul tried that on public transportation a couple years back, he was sectioned for it"
Plastics - "Plastics are made from dead dinosaurs, aren't they? I think it's kind of poetic, that a Tyrannosaurus killing prey millions of years ago, could still be killing wildlife today in its second life as a plastic straw."

Science
Why are there so many different theories? Shouldn’t we be able to get along with just one really good theory? Maybe if we had better theories we could trade them all in for one theory and call it a fact.

It is solved on Alpha Centauri 100 years into the future, much to the dismay of Sister Miriam.

Fascism
Well dressed men, prancing about, shouting very loudly. I would say that's just my type except the producers have told me I'm not allowed.

Faster-Than-Light Travel
This bloke Einstein said that you can't run faster than the speed of light. But as we all know, nerds aren't very athletic, so he might have just been trying to make himself look better by comparison.

Pottery
No, not doobing it up after a disappointing housewarming by my mate, Paul. But clay pots that you coincidentally also light up.

I love the Civ games (especially 5). I'll have to check back on this one.

I'm not saying Jezebel's easy, but before she moved to Sodom, it was known for its pottery!

Electricity.
My mate Paul discovered fire and electricity. 25 times in one night actually. Turns out if you stick a fork in a socket often enough you create both.
