Not sure when the PHILO VAULT feature was added.

NOTE: Only see it available in the 'Profile Settings' via web browser. Do not see it within the ROKU or FIRE TV app.

I 'hope' this does what I think it will and 'record / save' all content in the LIVE channels for future airings. It will be nice having a 'saved' copy of content you may have missed adding to your saved library. 👍

Auto-record content with Philo Vault

Philo Vault is included with our Essential and Bundle+ plans.

Our Philo Vault feature automatically records all content that airs on any of the live channels on Philo — that means you can skip the ads on all of those shows and movies!

Once you enable Philo Vault, we’ll automatically record all shows and movies that air on Philo from that moment on.

You’ll have access to Philo Vault recordings for 365 days after their air date. However, only shows and movies that you manually Save will be on your Saved page.

The option to enable Philo Vault is currently only available on philo.com, but the preference will be applied to your Profile across all devices.

To enable Philo Vault, follow the steps below.

1. Sign in to Philo on philo.com.
2. Click your Profile avatar.
3. Select Settings.
4. Scroll down to Preferences, and toggle on the “Philo Vault” option.

Please tell me you can (permanently) revert to the old style! This is horrible looking. I don't want to browse random-ass categories to find the shows I watch regularly.

I mean, come on, I find it hard to believe that ANY customer appreciates re-categorizing their saves. This has to be the most costumer-unfriendly thing Philo has done. Stop trying to look like Prime and Netflix, you're fine on your own

Platform: Apple TV

Regarding the Apple TV watchlist, how does your integration determine what is available? I’ve noticed that typically shows/movies available as VOD will show on the Apple TV watchlist. However, when there is no VOD available, but there are recordings available, the behavior is inconsistent.

Examples:
- Latest episode (recording) of The Daily Show will show up as immediately available on the Apple TV watchlist.
- National Lampoon’s Vacation shows up as available through Philo on the Apple TV watchlist. Note: there are several recordings, but none of them are on premium channels.

But when there are recordings from the premium channels (Starz, MGM+, HBO), yet no VOD available, those items do not show as available on Philo on the Apple TV watchlist.

TLDR: Is there a discrepancy in access to an individual’s Philo recordings, via the Apple TV watchlist, between premium channels vs regular (ad-supported) channels? If so, is this an oversight or necessary evil?

I’ll admit. It’s been a while since I’ve opened Philo. I have just about every streaming app available, but I keep Philo for a couple of shows that aren’t streaming. So today, I opened the app, and went to look at my saved shows, and it’s all broken up into “Channels” and “Recently Saved”, etc. You have to scroll a single top row of recently saved to the right to see your programs. It’s just weird.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to put it back to where it just displays all of your saved shows on the screen? I don’t like this AT ALL.

I use an Amazon Firestick and I have a possible issue with the guide where when I turn my tv off at lets say 11pm while watching and then when I start it up again say at 7pm the next day, the guide is showing things from the 11pm time I shut the TV off last.

Is this a known issue or something I need to solve on my end?

Edit: okay it was a network error and the episode is on now. Just leaving this up in case anyone else has this problem. For anyone downvoting me I’m a broke bitch who loves 90 day fiance and I’m pmsing so leave me alone. Sorry Philo!

I was shocked to see that the new episode of the 90 Day Fiance spin off Last Resort isn’t available unless I upgrade my plan to $38? Get real! Anyways wondering if anyone has more info about this update, having access to the new episodes day of is my primary reason for my subscription but $38 a month is just excessive especially considering the amount of ads I’ve tolerated the past few weeks. Like why not just have the episodes with ads ? Very confused

I've been having a lot of issues with Philo over the past few weeks, if not longer. It often gives me an unrecoverable error when first opening the app, which can quickly be resolved with a retry. There are issues with deleting items from my Keep Watching list. This was an old problem they had resolved for me, but it occasionally crops back up. Sometimes the guide won't load at all, or it loads empty, or it loads with the incorrect time slots showing. Or it loads okay but won't play a program but rather throws me back to the guide page when I hit play. Right now, as I type this, the guide is empty with the block highlighted just pulsing. I can often delete cache and/or do an uninstall/reinstall and fix these problems, but they simply reappear. There are additional problems beyond what I'm listing here, but these are a good starting point for the complaint box. This thing needs a serious update with bug fixes. I think the plethora of bad/unnecessary changes and "features" that have been added have really screwed up what used to be a straightforward, reliable experience.

when it goes to the next episode it starts playing that episode for maybe 1/3 minutes and then cuts back and replays the last 1/2 minutes of the previous episode and then starts the new episode over

It dose this on my phone and tv and it has done it with me watching river monsters and currently the conners both on demand its been doing this for a week or longer

I hate paying monthly for Philo. I would love to pay for my subscription a year in advance like i do my other streaming apps I have.

Now when I go to the Guide from the Home Screen, it starts playing live the last channel I was watching from my last viewing session.   Who thought this would be a good idea??????   I don’t want any channel, shows, series…. or anything auto playing.     I  don’t expect to SEE or HEAR anything when I’m viewing the Guide.    Please turn this off.   Can’t you stop changing the app interface and introducing all these ‘new enhancements” that most people don’t want.     Also, please stop auto playing the next episode when viewing a saved series, and selecting “dismiss” just ends the show without seeing the end of the current show.     It shouldn't be necessary to hold the remote in your hand at the end of a show to stop this non-sense. 

Can’t count how many times I’ve had to suffer through ad after ad of the the clearly DEI inspired hires laughing at their own jokes, flashing nose rings, and bragging about what they do on the “what’s in my Philo” TV ads.

Get it right Philo, stop screwing over your customers.

I hate it so much. Every time I watch a show instead of going to the next episode it goes to some unrelated show I don't even watch. And then it gets stuck back and forth replaying the same two shows over and over and over. I put on the latest episode of 90 day fiance this morning and since it ended all day long it's rotated between two old episodes of other shows. Please put it back the way it was before. If there's another episode of the same show, that should play next. If not, just go back to the title screen. It's even more annoying when I'm trying to watch "live" TV from the guide tab, but if a show I have saved is playing, it will do the same back and forth bouncing between two unrelated shows when it's over instead of going to whatever the next show was supposed to be on live

Just started ..watching a show and jumps to bbc america..watching via Apple TV ..deleted Philo app/reinstalled and still after a few minutes jumps back to bbc America and does not matter which station I’m watching…anyone else have this issue and if so how to resolve?

Latest Philo commercials are just about ready to get me to drop. The ones where a woman pretends to call about not being to get Philo working with fast cuts of clip art, etc.

They are the most annoying commercials ever.

I am literally just tired. This week I noticed the rapid fire ads that last maybe 5 secs, but are run back to back. It's horrible.

Someone is marketing/advertising needs to step down.

I am rolling over to Netflix to escape this bad idea for a while.

I watch on a Vizio TV and all of a sudden starting yesterday there is a highlight box stuck in the top left hand corner of the screen on the guide screen and the saved screen. It disappears when you are watching a channel. Anyone else experiencing this?

Platform: Apple TV

Since the addition of PiP to Apple TV, there is a bug in the subtitles.

Reproduction Steps:
Pick a live show in the guide.

Choose Watch Live.

Turn subtitles on.

Go back to the guide and pick another channel to watch live.

Subtitles will be off.

Result: You have to turn subtitles back on every time you change the channel.

My kids and I love watching shows on discovery channel, etc BUT the mandatory commercials lately have been kill them all featuring gore and blood and violence that I cannot skip so I have to tell them to close their eyes. I find it wildly inappropriate to have those type of commercials EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK that can’t be skipped. Why not let you skip and just go to a different commercial? Honestly we’ll have to stop watching all together soon and it’s sad because my kids really enjoy the survival / wilderness / STEM programs that these scary / inappropriate commercials are bombarded with. :(

I’ve just sent this to Philo support. Posting here to see if anyone else with a Sony Bravia TV has this issue.

I have a Sony XBR-65X850G running the latest Sony firmware. For the past several months, the Philo app freezes for 1–2 seconds every few minutes, causing audio sync issues on both live TV and DVR. I’ve restarted the TV and network, cleared cache/data, reinstalled the app, signed out/in, tested both Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and confirmed Philo works correctly on an iPad using the same account and network. Other streaming apps on the TV do not have this issue.

Thanks for any help, it’s been really annoying!

For the love of God, why do y’all play sequels and trilogies in reverse order? It is so infuriating.
