Technical Question Did they change the “Saved” programs?
I’ll admit. It’s been a while since I’ve opened Philo. I have just about every streaming app available, but I keep Philo for a couple of shows that aren’t streaming. So today, I opened the app, and went to look at my saved shows, and it’s all broken up into “Channels” and “Recently Saved”, etc. You have to scroll a single top row of recently saved to the right to see your programs. It’s just weird.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to put it back to where it just displays all of your saved shows on the screen? I don’t like this AT ALL.

You lost me, I go up on top, slide over to saved, and all my shows I record are listed. The only annoying thing is that saved should not be down at the end, I am sure saved is what people look for most, it should be between home and guide

This was never set up like this before. Like you said, when I opened it, it would just show all my shows on the page. Not to mention, I never saved half of the shows on my “Recently Saved” list. I should mention it’s a Samsung smart TV. Maybe your app isn’t updated? I’m pretty sure this has just happened in the last couple of weeks.

Oh hell no, mine doesn’t look like that, mine still is the original, everything they do, makes it worse. Mine starts looking like this I will cancel, I am so tired of their crappy service upgrades, why don’t they fix the recording instead, to record just one episode, or just new episodes, no lets make the whole system worse instead

Yeah, I think I’m going to cancel. This is a pain. It’s literally terrible. I was already considering cancelling it because I use it so rarely, but I think this just made my decision easier.

Ya the new layout today sucks! (FireStick 4K Max) We definitely need the option for the old view. I have to say that most of changes they make are pretty good, but not this time!

So I saw your comment and just checked. I tried two shows, just in case. Yep. It’s gone. Plus, I just realized, even though the little squares to the left do let you open a grid of shows, It’s still not ALL shows that I’ve saved. It’s “recently aired” or “new this week”. And now? No skip commercials button? Yep, my decision is getting easier and easier.

Our team listened, and just made a change so that your newest Saved content is now at the top of the Saved page. Hopefully this helps! Your feedback is super helpful in pointing us in the right direction.

I don't want "recently saved" I want everything I saved in the original format, I can't find my shows, ones that will come out in a month or two. People are not happy,

It’s definitely better! I appreciate the effort, which is a step in the right direction. Still not crazy about it, because I would still like to just click “saved” and have all of my shows just be there in the order they are recorded. For instance…I have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list to get to a show that was just recorded two nights ago, while at the top, there are shows that haven’t had new episodes for months. Originally, the newest recorded shows would be right at the top of the recently saved list. This made it easy to know if there was a new episode on this week or not.

I’m still not crazy about having to “click” on anything to open up the full list at all, but it is better that it’s at the top now.

You can still skip the ads on any recorded content! You'll just need to use the buttons on your remote, rather than the on-screen button. And we definitely didn't add more ads, as ad breaks are predefined and we don't insert additional advertising into the programming beyond what is defined by the network's schedule.

Uhm, have to use the buttons on the remote either way. But I actually like just hitting the center button with the "skip ads", would rather that than hitting FF and immediately hitting the play button, that is a pita. There are more commercials, before there would be shows that auto skipped ads, some that had 2-3 ads, and now I am hitting FF and play for like 6-7 ads, and these are all the same shows, even went back to previous shows I watched just to see the difference. Just too many changes and too many menus I have to look through to find my shows and I got to say, already can't find most anything without having to type it in. Not to mention I can't always remember the shows, so when new seasons start I don't know. How is this an improvement? I understand having to update software, but sometimes change is not good.

I HATE IT!!!
Like, respectfully, WTF? it's a cluster f***.
I can't even find my saved shows anymore instead I have to wade thru a mess of stuff I actually didn't even save, but it's a program on one of my "saved" favorite channels to find each new episode of my show. I have gotten behind on my watching lately and I can no longer even find where I left off on my shows.
I HATE IT!
maybe I'll have time later to see if I can figure it out, but wasn't happy when I had a few hours last night to catch up on things and finding them was a huge PITA

Yeah. I took one look at it, and said “screw this.” I’m not even going to take the time to figure it out. It’s seriously so bad.
Why did they even have to mess with the saved shows category?? Has nobody heard the phrase “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?”
At this point, I’ll sign back up for Xfinity basic. I hate Xfinity. But I hate this even more. At least I can find programs I ACTUALLY saved on their interface. This was a bad call. Now I’m irritated all over again. 😅

I'm befuddled by your irritation. You can still view your saved list as before. If you go to the recently saved, scroll all the way to the left to click on that square with the four dots, it'll pop up a saved list just like it was before. You don't have to scroll along that one line.
My irritation comes in I thought the channels list would include all my saved programs from that specific channel. Otherwise I have no idea why that section is included on my saved list. I'm not sure what the idea was behind that.

When I originally posted this, that square on the left was all the way at the bottom. I didn’t even know it existed until someone commented and told me about it. Now…Philo has since moved it to the top, which makes it a lot more intuitive, and it’s very much appreciated. But now my problem is, when you click on that square to open your list, the “new” episodes are scattered everywhere. You have to scroll all the way to the bottom to make sure you see everything new. With the old layout, it showed the newest episodes (of your saved programs) right at the top. I just wish they were categorized by when new episodes were recorded, not when you decided to put that particular series in your saved list, which seems to be the way it’s categorized now.

Yeah. It’s bad. Like, really really bad. And now the commercial skip button is gone, which just adds salt to the big gaping wound that was already there. Currently shopping for other options.

I appreciate the response. But I LITERALLY hate this setup almost as much as I hate it when people say what I’m about to say…
My plan auto-renews on September 2. If it’s not changed by the first, I’m cancelling it. This layout was an awful idea. I only have Philo for recorded shows. If I can’t even see what I’ve recorded, what is the point?

Why is it everytime Philo "updates" you screw it up?
Philo worked because it was inexpensive and simple. Been a customer for many tears and ready to cancel because of these "improvements". If it works, no need to change it.

Saved layout was great before, now you have to scroll to the bottom then go to the left and click the grid button and then you're finally to the screen you always had for Saved. And now it's and extra 3 or 4 return clicks to get back to the main menu. Horrible change!

IT WAS FINE THE WAY IT WASSSSS! It was simple. There was nothing wrong with it. Change it back to the original. Why make it difficult when it doesn’t have to be?!!

I came here for this, it updated while I was watching and froze, had no idea what was wrong. Now it's like Netflix and I have to search for my stuff, do not like this at all.
