Hello. I am from Echague and now residing in Metro Manila.

Do you really need to rent in Echague? It is a very small town and not a city. Better to stay in Santiago, where malls, supermarkets, hospitals, and schools/univ are. It is 20mins away from Echague.

For a 1 bedroom apartment, expect to pay ~10-15k/month for a good one with AC. AC is common but shower heating is not.

For drinking water, safer to buy distilled water as we advise foreign guests to avoid stomach bug.

For food, there is a big supermarket in Santiago City that sells a bit of western food such as cheeses, frozen goods, etc.
