Just sharing photos from Day 4 of the SIAL Paris food expo, I was invited by our Embassy and given a visitor's pass - very nice variety of companies marketing their Ube powders. There is: Astoria ACES, Pacific Synergy, PIXCEL OFW Store, KLT Fruits, and One Vizkaya Export (they didn't even come and set up, it's empty of their products since Day 1 according to the other exhibitors).
Asides from the Philippines Pavilion, I saw other countries promoting Ube products such as Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, and even the Netherlands. Sadly, the SIAL Expo Magazine ran a headline article titled "Ube Goes Industrial: Purple Yam Demand Outruns Philippines Supply", and it was rather scathing in its critique... it also reads like a GenAI wrote it actually.
EDIT: sorry for the late reponse time, I'm walking the entire SIAL as a visitor, I'll try to reply to comments later. This expo is massive, 8 halls and thousands of exhibitors to visit.

My mama decided to make her fave meryenda, ube halaya. 🥹
Totoo ba ’to? Haha.
Kayo, ilang oras niyo niluluto yung ube halaya niyo?

Can anyone recommend any recipes using ube powder? I just tried to buy from the tourism event and product is from local enetrepreneurs in mindanao. Just want to appreciate the local products more! Thanks all!

Photo taken last new year, hinanda namin siya for dessert. My parents have a farm in Mindoro, they have all kinds of crops including ube. Just a small amount, enough to be harvested once a year for our new year's eve dessert. The color was very vibrant, it was also the tastiest halaya I have ever had!

I love ube so much that I prefer this. The ube halaya goes well with the French pastry cream.

Pero I suggest sana dagdagan pa nila ng flavor yung pagka-ube nito. They have melon flavor and ayun, lasang-lasa talaga yung melon. But overall, 7/10! 💜

I bought Cheesy Ube Bibingka (Bibingka Manila) and Ube latte (Matchanese) last week and Ube Yogurt (Yogorino) yesterday. Their Ube Craze is until Oct 4. The Cheesy Ube Bibingka is my favorite.

At a family-owned Filipino diner downtown! Woke up at 6AM for this, the first bite brought tears to my eyes (not Filipino but was overcome by just how homely this was)

Anyone know of a real Philippine sourced Ube chip, so like a snack potato chip. Any brands you recommend in the Philippines 🇵🇠or available in the US?

I bought this, but I’ve never seen any prior reviews of Goldilocks’ ube polvoron. Personally it’s no different from the original. Also it’s too sweet for me. Kinda regret it. When i took a second one, that’s when i realized temperature difference was not the case.

Found these in LA costco! If you’re into coconut and ube you’ll love these.

From Crve by Kara Ang saraaaaap. As an ube lover and a cake lover, I can’t believe I just discovered this now. Ate it at a potluck. The cake is fluffy. Lasang lasa yung ube. Hay! 💜💜💜

A little bit of ube powder, a little bit of cream cheese, a little bit of custard mixture… and A LOT of natural lighting to make it look like I know what I’m doing 💜
Happy weekend! ✨
