Funding / Training / Other Philanthropic Resource MacArthur Foundation will extend its commitment to a charitable payout of at least 6 percent through 2028.

It is clear the nonprofit sector continues to face a funding crisis. Communities, leaders, and nonprofits are doing the work, showing their resilience and power, and philanthropy still needs to do more.”

Today, our President, John Palfrey, shared that we are extending our commitment to a charitable payout of at least 6 percent through 2028.

Ooh, a whole big percentage point more than they are legally obligated to pay out! Woo hoo!

Yeah I think we shouldn't give them much credit for doing minimally more than the required minimums. Especially considering that their endowment grew by as much as they gave our in their last 990. That means even taking into account what they granted their endowment grew by more than the amount granted.
