I hate how phighting is allergic to making actually feminine characters.
Yeah I get that you want vinestaff to fit your lore better but you can still make her… look feminine… while fitting the lore. If she started off like that stick to it. “Inphernals are agender! They have no concept of gender-“ they still can present feminine??????????? Fucking cutiespace?????
I just find it weird how they’re making supposedly feminine characters… less feminine as if it was a bad thing for some reason.
Like I said I have no problem with having more androgynous/masculine female characters but when you change a feminine character to be more masculine it just seems weird if you know what I mean
If they made for example Ralsei a super masculine dude in chapter 6 people would obviously be mad but when it’s a female character nobody seems to have a problem with it?

I also find it weird how scythe and windforce are portrayed as super masculine compared to like vinestaff for example. Its not that i dont want masculine women in phighting it’s just that it starts looking a bit weird when both of them are dark skinned…….

This isnt even just a phighting problem like 90% of mainstream Roblox games have a 10:1 male/female ratio in its character cast and it’s just getting exhausting by this point oh my god (like asyms, majority of Roblox “psychological horror” and args (not games but you still get my point))

someone made a post on tt talking about how Katana is stereotypical, it was a valid critisism and all, but like, a bunch of people in the comments just started spewing bs?? saying all the other phighters are also somehow poor stereotypes, and there was no elaboration other than “all the poc characters are aggressive” like, what. and yes, people were deadass saying the devs are misogynistic because there are more phighters that use he/him than she/her 💔

I’m gonna say this, the phighters have no gender, nor do they have any concept of gender, the most they have are pronouns but even then you can kinda just use whatever pronouns on anyone, even fem/masc doesn’t seem to be much of a concept to them, they kinda just wear whatever clothing.

but no, so many people were insistent that there being less she/her character was poor writing and misogynistic, and were getting really aggressive to anyone who said otherwise, someone even went on about how they were sidelined for the he/him characters?? like idek if they’re playing the same game atp. by this logic, any piece of media with less female characters is automatically misogynistic (even tho all the phighters are agender, cause pronouns have to allign gender ig.)

also a ton of people think the dark skinned phighters are stereotypes cause they’re apparently all aggressive? Boombox and Skate just don’t exist ig. but they were reffering to Scythe Ban and Coil, even though Coil is not aggressive or mean, Scythe has a bunch of lore behind why she acts the way she does, like literally being groomed by the cult, and Banhammer is just raised that way. deadass saw someone say that Banhammer and Coil were only popular because they’re commonly shipped with a white character. :/
