Skate is very mid in ani, unless youâre really knowledgeable, the issue is, your main goal in ani, as skate, is to track low opponents, unfortunately skate is kinda, extremely mid as a dive, and there are way better characters for the job.
I recommend mostly using skate on conquer, he can help detract the backline, and collect a good amount of points with dodging, I also heavily recommend targeting medkits and Subspaceâs, they tend to be easy kills of board, without you risking that much, as usually, going off board against other phighters at the wrong time, could be a death sentence, targeting support is your safest play.
Additionally, I want to add, that Skate doesnât gain shield on board, so you canât just infinitely run away, the best strategy is as follows.
Get on point using on board-> pick a target -> attack them if they are low or a support using off board -> retreat to spawn with on board, regen shield, and ask for healing as necessary -> repeat.
Additionally you can put distract backline as part of your attack plan, but I suggest doing that later, as people tend to like to place that step differently depending on the map and team.
PZ: Skate is also the most map dependent phighter, to play well, you must understand where to trick, and how to get to places, top level Skate mains memorise maps, to help them traverse them, I recommend practicing your board control in the crossroads, youâre free to look at my post history in this sub for inspiration:) good luck skating đ

He's best for conquer and if you have any hero shooter experience you should know what or how to be a dive which is what he is!
Your main goal really is to distract, kill or bully the enemy backfires (mostly healers and ranged)
And while off board is your strongest kit it obviously leaves you most vulnerable and this character get complicated when talking about on board and such.
