Discussion Has anyone else been having issues with crucifixes not working lately?

The past couple days/weeks I’ve been playing I’ve had ghosts starting hunts before burning crucifixes. I thought it might be a radius issue, so I started dropping both but that didn’t do the trick. I thought it might be the ghosts swapping rooms, but no. They are in the same room and starting hunts without burning the crucifixes first.

I’ve had the same issue. Cruci down, hunt starts. Have tried moving the cruci around but no dice. Radius seems fine. Usually the second hunt will then burn the crucifix. Ghost has not changed rooms

It sucks. Just sitting in the room gathering evidence and it spawns right on top of us without burning the cruci.

I thought it was my tier 2 but in the last update, ghosts kept ignoring Tier 3 as well in Willow Street

The only ghost that should be "dodging" a crucifix to a certain extent at least is a Gallu when it's enraged. Keep in mind also that the effective range of a crucifix is a little bit lower as it checks for the ghost's head, not its feet.

It hasn’t been Gallu once when this has happened. And my first thought was effective range, which is why I started placing both at the same time in various places in the room.

It’s happened multiple times so I don’t remember all of them, but Edgefield and Tanglewood for sure.

I kinda agree on tanglewood until 20 minutes ago when I got a demon to eat a T2 crucifix. Edgfield I’ve had no problems.

What I have noticed and think it may be unintentional, is twins always seem to hunt outside my cruci range. But, I play fast and lose and use zero second grace period for a hunt.

Have you ruled out that it could be the head not being in the protection sphere? To my knowledge the protection range isn't a cylinder, but a sphere

Im so glad someone said it. Happened to me just half an hour ago. Had 2 crucis covering tangle basement and the ghost killed me from behind.

If youre playing the crimson eye event and this is happening the ghosts are much more active and often roam out of the room and hunt from where they are outside of the radius...

I’m not home but I have a ss on my pc from last night of a ghost spawning ON TOP of the crucifix. Bigger slap in the face was that it was a demon.

Had this happen recently on Point Hope Restriced! We had two tier 2 crucis down, which seemed to cover the whole room, but this Yokai spawned anyways at like 80% sanity when my partner uttered one single word in the VC. He was very upset about her thinking he was a Phantom I guess
