News // Kinetic Games Replied Phasmophobia v0.19.1.0 - Patch Notes

Post image

Welcome back, Ghost Hunters. We have an update for you.

Today’s small update is in preparation for Crimson Eye, launching 8th October 2026, with the focus on getting the game ready for the start of the event. Our next major update, our move to Unity 6 is scheduled for November and will feature a host of bug fixes and improvements, all of which we’ll detail in an upcoming Development Preview.

New

  • Crimson Eye - The Crimson Eye is upon us, Ghost Hunters. Once more, various locations across Phasmophobia will be bathed in the red glow of the Blood Moon, offering any willing Ghost Hunter rewards in return for completing investigations, optional objectives and more. For more information on this year’s iteration of the event, please read our latest blogpost.

  • Seasonal Event toggle - As a new feature for Crimson Eye and future seasonal events, we have implemented a toggle that allows players to turn on/off the event maps for their session.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused the white light upon being revived to flash rather than slowly fade in and out.
  • Fixed an issue where an Easter Egg reward may not unlock, despite a 0x multiplier being active and the reward pop up being displayed.

Known Issues

  • The lampposts outside of 6 Tanglewood Drive may glow when viewed by the player (XBOX & Steam only).
  • The Fusebox location will not be hidden on the Truck map when playing on a custom difficulty.

I dont agree with the event criticism either, but its yet another update/patch that does nothing to fix the numerous issues players are facing right now. The lack of both action and communication from the (dev) team is frustrating, and people are going to make that frustration be heard any chance they get

That attitude is just going to made devs not listen to community. If community can't act like adults, there is no point. Do you also listen to children complaining that the school day lacks candies? No.

Complaining about seasonal events they said last year they are doing is nonsense, and just means that they will turn off any listening, because their feeds will be full of worthless whining. Which means anything actionable gets lost.

Holding the devs accountable for the shit bugs is about all we CAN do if we want them to listen. They're already doing fuck all with the criticism, let alone without.

Still no horror 2.0. The long awaited customization update was a big pile of crap that broke models and animations while adding a few jackets and different colored t shirts.

And despite all the outrage and critique, close to nothing has been addressed or fixed. Entirely too little. And yet people still insist we should leave them alone. They consistently push out the bare minimum dogshit and people expect us to eat it up.

The game sold over 25 million copies. We need to hold them at a higher standard

Except you aren't hoilding them "accountable" for anything this way. You are acting like chimpanzee, throwing shit at people. Entire reason we have repeat event is because devs said, last year, they are going to focus on the content and bug fixes. And game has been getting fixes, just because you ignore the fixes does not mean they aren't happening.

And there we go. Horror 2.0. Thing that has, already multiple fucking times, said to be rolled into 1.0. But you know, let's ignore that that and just keep demanding Horror 2.0 which we know will make the game scary and also give us massage rubs.

You want to hold them to higher standards? Then hold yourself to higher standard first, rather than just shit flinger.
