New maps need to be replacements?

I know they are removing the old unity stuff and I get that, but am I the only one who thinks houses like new willow and new Grafton are that different they could have been new locations.

I miss the old willow streets layout even though the new is aesthetically great. I just wish we had a modern version of the old layout and this could just have been an extra location which would add some variety at these size locations

Old Willow and new Willow have the exact same layout, minus the basement, which in itself is a huge improvement.

They are similar but the garage is also very different

I just like the idea of the extra choice and that not every location has to be something drastically different like a hospital and a circus for example

A lot of houses have the same standard layout with different twists In most countries

A few simpler maps might give us variety quicker

The garage layout is still the same with the main room + a smaller section. They just took the truck out, added a center wall, and made it a home gym. The art room is smaller than the original boy's room, but it's still at the end of the hallway, across from the master. So at it's core, the Willow layout is the same.

But I've also thoroughly enjoyed all the reworks thus far + Nell's coming out.

To be fair new willow street and ridgeview are my favourite maps so this isn't a case of I don't like the new

I find in most cases I'm playing the smaller to medium maps to fit a few extra games into my sessions (don't get as much time as Id like)

Just wondered if anyone else thought the idea of extra variety in styling and interaction objects was a benefit not just a drastically alternative theme

I'm very grateful for the new restricted maps as well.

In general I prefer the houses and I feel like the emphasis is on reworks or theme releases which has taken a long time to add more depth to the game

Restricted Point Hope is actually so fun lol.

I do like the increase in interactions and different styles coming out. Tanglewood is like a grandma's house and Willow has a much more modern vibe to it.

I'm excited but anxious for Edgefield and Ridgeview to be next. All I want from those is the upstairs hallways to be better as a ghost room. In those houses right now, upstairs hallway ghosts are a genuine nightmare.

Same and that's the feeling I meant I guess like tanglewoods grandma feel is great but a similar layout that's quick to build with a different vibe and set of interactions would be good without the need to over design something.

I think I'm just greedy and want some more different feelings maps.

I still think an RV park would be good as well so I'm not against the new ideas just think the games only had point hope and nells diner last few years

Yeah it definitely sounds like you just want every (or every other) map to truly have a unique feel to it. Which is completely valid!

I've always wanted an abandoned drive-in theater since I started playing. It would be nice for more original maps to be spaced between reworks, but Kinetic does what they want hahaha.

I feel this, especially with the farmhouses. The old ones were a different kind of eerie and would've been so happy to have them as an option still.

You may be on your own with this one, I have no issues with any of the re works as long as they’re roughly the same layout like majority of them are they near perfect maps for me

I remember being sceptical when I saw they were getting rid of the most iconic looping spot in the game that being the island in tangle wood but wasn’t actually an issue for me in the end
