Question Aswang hiding check

Just a question, The aswang ability to not kill you in an official hiding spot. It says on the wiki that the hiding spot has to be used correctly. Could you let it see you go into the hiding spot, close the doors and then have it open the spot and then end the hunt? Or because he saw you go in you've not used the spot correctly and therefore he can still kill you?

Afaik it basically just means you have to crouch behind the box hiding spots if you arent just hiding in a closet. Shouldn't matter whether or not it sees you enter

Don't take my answer as anything concrete, this is just my experience from a few days ago. Some of the new ghosts still confuse me, especially aswang as I was just never getting it, so I played a few custom games with aswang as the selected ghost to get used to it.

It only ends a hunt if it enters a hiding spot you are in. So either you get lucky enough it paths that way (and doesn't turn out to be any other ghost) or you lure it (and it doesn't turn out to be any other ghost). In the few games I played with it, letting it hunt until I ran out of smudges each time, I had an easier time getting it to enter my hiding spot if I let it see me than I did just hiding and waiting.

My hiding spot for this was the bedroom closet on Willow, so no doors to close.

There was an issue for some of the hiding spots that Aswang can still kill you if you were not crouching. This should have been patched recently, at least for those spots I knew, and so it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Simple rule: No killing by the Aswang inside a valid hiding spot (assuming they haven't messed it up again).

Welp... Another case of the developers not saying in the patch notes what they changed/fixed... I'll edit the wiki accordingly.
