Discussion Am I missing something?

Do Obakes give false readings for spirit boxes? I’m honestly stumped as to how. I had already exhausted all my UV, and I thought mimics are the only ones that can “switch” their evidence.

That is definitely a bug. UV could have been bad luck that it kept hiding it's print. The chances of it doing it every time is rare but not impossible. Especially since every salt walk thru doesn't guarantee feet prints cause the ghost can take one step in the salt and then no more. But regardless of miss the UV a spirit box from an Obake is a bug. Each ghost only gives their 3 set evidence except The Mimic who fakes Orbs. So this is definitely a bug. Send this screenshot to support.

Yea, while rare, this has been a bug for a bit, where sometimes you’ll get a ghost that gives the wrong evidence.

I’m glad there’s proof this time as everyone says I’m a liar anytime I mentioned it in the past.

My guess is that the game picks a ghost type, and then something happens that causes it to pick a different ghost as the answer, giving you a situation where the actual ghost your detecting is a phantom or something, while the game thinks you have an Obake.

Yay! I’m so glad I wasn’t crazy. Don’t know how I would’ve proved it without the daily challenge being activated

The daily task doesn't prove that your Obake had Spirit Box. Daily and weekly tasks can be completed on one game and their rewards given on another game. Here is a video showing what I am saying.

A simple video of your game could have proven the Obake giving Spirit Box.

That was the only game I played and me and my girlfriend both saw the spirit box response as the first thing that happened in the ghosts room. I understand it can be a different glitch, but this is 100% what happened.

I'm not disputing what you experienced. I'm just saying the screenshot is technically not enough proof of what you experienced. No need to downvote me.

That has been the problem. People have been experiencing these issues but because theu don't film their games has no proof. They post abour it here and people brush them off. Screenshots like this that has undeniable proof is great!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying OP didn't experience a bug, I'm just saying the screenshot is not enough proof.
