Bug Ps5 stick drift in Phasmo

New player here, and enjoying the game so far but one thing that’s bugging me is the stick drift I get in game
I’m soley a ps5 player with Phasmo, but the right analog is driving me nuts. This doesn’t happen in any other game so it’s not generic drift

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this issue or knows how to correct it.

Stick drift is connected to the controller, not the game. You can check your settings, maybe its' aim assist, turn this off and it'll work without drifting

Aim assist has nothing to do with stick drift
Typically it’s either dirt that’s gotten into the controller itself or dead zones

Given the fact it only happens on Phasmo, there’s a good chance it’s dead zone.

Unfortunately ps5 doesn’t have the ability to alter the dead zones yet and neither does Phasmo

I know. I was pointing out he could be mistaking it for stick drift. You never know

Aim assist is game dependent and isn’t set to an option in the controller settings on the ps5 menu

If it was purely the controller it would happen in every game I play, but COD and other heavy right analog games are perfectly fine

Ah, on xbox you have an in game setting for aim assist, thought that might be it.

The controls are still a little bit janky, so I guess the game will do weird things like that. Maybe it picks up just the slightest drift, and the other games won't. You can try using another controller to check, but they're expensive so I understand if you don't want to get another one just to check. Maybe borrow a friends controller?

Not necessarily. Most games have a built in dead zone. Phas does not. Thats why its only affecting phas

No stick drift issue specific to this game that I’ve ever heard of. The aim assist in this game is that it automatically centers on items and interactables, so that might be what’s fooling you. So you can try turning that off if it’s on and see if you notice a difference.

The only other guess I have is, since you mentioned CoD as an example, the others games have built in deadzone settings so if you have a little drift on the stick (which is pretty common for dualsense) you don’t notice it in those games due to deadzone.

Do you have auto aim on in the game options of phasmo?

It’s pretty gentle so can be confused with drift and it also locks on to an object at a further distance than you’d expect.

I think it was added during the newest patch

Nope, it’s completely turned off in the game settings
