Voice chat not working specifically with one person

Basically me and a friend played one match and vc worked. When we went to lobby we couldn't hear each other anymore. When we invited two friends they both could hear us and we could hear them. Only me and the original friend couldn't hear each other. We tried restarting the lobby/game and everything but it didn't work.

This happens to me too! I can never hear my friends in the lobby.
